You know, there are some titles I don't like. This is not one of them. This is a good title. Why? Because it means that I went back (to school) and it is the fourth term. Also, it's a play on words on 'Back and Forth.' Really, this is a kickass title. Anyway. Yes, I went back to school today, as well as a few other things. So, let's see, and just this once, let's cut the theme music. Because, I didn't make it on the holidays. Ah well.
I woke up at 6-ish, as it turned out my alarm forgot to go off. Luckily (or, unluckily, depending on how you look at it), EJ got me up, and I spent the morning getting ready for school, and finishing Sunday's post. I mean, it wasn't on time, but it was near enough that I'm starting to get hopeful about posts that are actually on schedule. When we left, we dropped by the local shops to put credit on my phone, which was playing up and made us think there was nothing left, when there was. Oy vey. When we did get to the station, I listened to my iPod, and at school, I caught up with the guys at school. Which sort of evolved into tales about Battlefield Heroes (evolved may be a bit of an overstatement; the whole conversation was basically BFH-centred. It's something that we pretty all have in common, except Ian, Cameron and Mango. Everyone else, I'm pretty sure plays it. Oh, and Ebony.).
Period 1 was Science, and Robson was away, and Bruce was our sub (no offence to the guy, but I prefer Robson. He's nice and everything, but...). To top it off, a minute into class all the lights went out. So yeah, we were having a fantastic start to the lesson. The period itself was going through notes and flicking through the textbook, as well as trying to remember stuff from last year. Period 2 was Geography, in which we did more study, as Johnson gave us a book which had all the skills in it (and I would like to say here: I finally know the difference between longitude and latitude. Latitude measures north and south, and longitude is the other one. Yes!). Recess would have been cards, but I forgot to bring them (you would think I would have remembered something as important as that. But, no.). So it was yet more talking.
Period 3 was English, in which we talked about the right way to do an essay, and specifically, the right way to do the yearly. And from what I hear, you have to remember stuff (which we've already done an assignment on), and not read a page and a half about some random guy called Walter which, if you get wrong, amounts to a shocking English fail, even if you explained it well and wrote (even the English staff admitted) a good story! (Sorry, that really touches a nerve. Goddamn English staff.). Period 4 was Maths, where we traded rooms for what turned out to be no reason (yeah, it was just one of those days.). We just basically did revisional work (revisional is a word, right?), and looked at different topics we had done. I'm fairly confident about the Maths exam, if only really because maths is a fairly logical subject and, well, I'm good at Maths. I don't like to brag, but I am. Lunch was talking, as well as going up to the library to print out my Science assignment and hand it in, as well as see if they've got the sequel to 'The Colour of Magic' by Terry Pratchett, called 'The Light Fantastic,' which they didn't. Damn.
Period 5 was Drama, in which you would think we would have studied (I mean, it's the first bloody exam!). But no, we did something which was more fun, if perhaps a tad less sensible: we got into groups, and Kolodziej gave us a script from a scene from a great episode of 'Fawlty Towers,' called 'Waldorf Salad.' (Wikipedia article included, of course.) I played the part of Mr. Hamilton, the American who stands up to Basil. If you've seen the episode, you will know what I'm talking about. If not, then you will mostly likely be confused. Ah well; it ain't my fault if you haven't seen it. Period 6 was Commerce, and we got our assignments back. No, not marked: they're our new study guides. Apparently, in the exam, we have to write about whatever we wrote about in the assignment. Come to think of it, that's what we have to do for English too... Anyway. When I got home, I studied for Drama, played some Battlefield Heroes, and at about 7, we left for hapkido.
It was a pretty tiring class today, considering we had Tina and Grandmaster Geoff. They make for a very good combination for class, but it really takes it out of you. I was partnered with Dom today, and he helped me with a new technique, which starts off with a cross hand grab, and ends with a sort of karate chop to your tricep that can put you flat on the ground if you do it well enough. Hapkido is awesome like that. In fact, in multiple grabs, when Amadeus said something, I was able to hurt him (I forget what he said.). After class, we nominated people for hapkido awards (I had never heard of these), which are things like 'Best Effort' and 'Best Technique.' I can't say who I nominated, as it's a secret ballot and I somewhat forgot. And when I got home, I blogged, but not enough (I got halfway through the post.). So here I am.
And that, my friends, was my day. Sorry about the fairly late post, but things got in the way. Most of them study or hapkido related. Ah well. Also, if you haven't noticed, it's a rather long post. I really thought that once I got back to school, I could post longer; and I did. The system works! Anyway. I'll try to get back to schedule, but with exams, promises really can't be made.

Off to a Great Start
That was sarcasm, of course. It's the beginning of school, a Monday, and many little things went wrong. Mostly during the latter half of the day. I mean, my sports jacket broke (the whole left pocket is now mutilated), and I stuffed up several times in hapkido. Although, I did, finally, get the signature for my cross. But yeah. Just a lot of little things. Ah well. Stuff happens.
I woke up around 6 (I am going to kick this habit of telling people when I get up. This is the final day.), as I do on weekdays. I got ready, and I ended up getting to school at around 8:15. I then waited for people in the group to arrive, which was luckily only about 30 seconds. Eric came to the table first, then Kevin, Andy, and gradually people began to filter in. I talked about Battlefield Heroes with Kevin and Andy, Spore with Eric, and utter randomness with the whole group, when they got there (barring John and Victor, the former did not come and the latter was late). Example of the randomness: What if Shafi were Wolverine. This came about somehow and was the funniest thing I'd heard in a long time. Ah, how I missed school. Period 1 was English, which was talking about communism in Eastern Europe and how books were banned in America for retarded reasons (1984 is not about communism). Hancock also mentioned Kazakhstan, promptly making everybody bar two people laugh at the (intentional) reference to Borat. Which I am still to see. Maths was a lot of algebra combined with a bit of geometry. Just your standard A1 stuff, really.
Recess was 13, back to normal. I was on a big losing streak. I think I got the 3 of spades once, and did not win a single game. Period 3 was Drama, in which we did a slight amount of work on storyboarding. Cam and I also talked about 'End of the World.' It's a great song, and we both like it. At another point, the school duck came to the door (yes, we have a school duck), and we pointed it out to Kolodziej. Who promptly said: 'It's not a duck, it's a pelican.' If it looks like a duck and it quacks like a duck, it's a duck (it was, in fact, a duck. Pelicans have a gigantic beak. This small water bird did not.). Next was Commerce, which was supposed to be doing the various pros and cons of casual employment, but which turned into talking about the various jobs people have, and what Kearney used to do before he was a teacher, and before he was a lawyer.
Lunch was more 13, and in which I continued my losing streak. Although there was a very funny hand. Andy had quad 2, but we played anyway. At one point he played double 2, expecting to win easily. Eric then got him with a double bomb, winning the game. It was epic. I won one game in this round. Well, maybe tomorrow. Periods 5 and 6 were double PE, in which we did some work on that game from a while ago called Tchoukball. It was mainly skills, though towards the end we did do a game of it. We were disadvantaged against the other team, as it was 6 against 5. And then Matt sat out, so it was 6 against 4. We were losing badly (the score was something like 9-3), until Wilson called out 'Last goal wins!' At that point, we had possession of the ball, and Tan threw it at the trampoline. Everybody crowded around a single point, and then Alan shot up into the air, and caught the ball. We won. Then, it was time to go, and I got home about 3:30. Around 6:45, we left for hapkido.
Shay came today, as did Shirisha. So I introduced Shirisha around, to Nick (who came after taking a break over the holidays), Amadeus, Vivian, and of course, Shaylee. The lesson itself was more of a skills one, focusing on the techniques rather than anything else. I learnt that my collar grab needs a bit of work, but that my cross is improving. So much, in fact, that I got my signature, on my third try. Third time's the charm, I suppose. We finished around 8:20, but we stayed so that Shay could get her second tip. I blogged after hapkido, but I didn't get to finish in time. So here I am, blogging the following morning.
There are no comments (sort of unsurprising), so this is the last paragraph. Today wasn't so much a bad day, but it wasn't not a bad day. 6 of one, half a dozen of the other, really. And this post itself wasn't too bad: finally something longer than 600 words. Tomorrow's post might be a bit shorter though; ah well.

Back to School, Unfortunately
Yes, yes, it's late. I know. I've actually now added a label saying 'late post.' It's because I did 5 hours of homework, finishing off my English short story, and my History Migrants research task. I did what probably comes to about 800 words. It's not like blogging, which takes about 2 hours to write 1300 words. You actually have to think, and research, not remember. People who blog should understand. But, I'm way off topic here. Blogging. Late. To my day. My long, tiring day.
I woke up at 6 (because that's what I do on school days. I wake up at 6), and prepared for the first day of hell, school style. My Mum dropped me off, and I went to see everyone. Victor has been undreaded (I almost wrote 'undeaded' there, which sounds awesome), and Eric looks a bit like he's from the 80s, like my brother before he cut his hair. It actually looks pretty good. Memorable event: Ebony came up behind Victor and gave what I believe is technically called 'glomping.' (Urban Dictionary explains.) I found a picture on the net that totally sums this up, except outside. I have no idea what the caption means, but the picture itself is almost exactly what happened. Here it is. Period 1 was Geography, which was doing some work, and then writing some of my short story. I did that all through the day, just add bits and pieces to it, so I didn't have much to do at home (it worked, in that I had less to do. But still a lot.). Next was Science, and Robson has permanently returned (thank god!), so no more substitutes, and we get to keep one of the best Science teachers in the school. Awesome. We started a new topic, all to do with electricity. Recess was talking to John and Victor. Period 3 was Ag, which was finishing up on our cow topic, and starting our goat topic (I almost said starting on goats, but it sounded more than a bit wrong). Then PE, which was starting a new topic, about mental health.
Next was Lunch. The first 15 or so minutes was spent talking again, and then the rest was spent playing 13, and 31 ('We started on 13, but we changed to 31.' That's a 'Pretty Fly (for a White Guy)' parody quote. It's funny to me.) with John, Kevin and Andy. Period 5 was Maths, and back to A1 work, on the surface area of spheres, hemispheres and open hemispheres (I still say open hemispheres have the same surface area of spheres. You're only supposed to measure the outside, but there's an inside as well. Yes, I'm weird.). Last was Drama, which was talking about playbuilding, so we had to think of a memorable event set outside. It took me a while to think of one, but then I remembered the time in Year 1 where I was playing Tip, and sprinted head-first into a flagpole. I told the class that story, and there was a laugh (wasn't funny when it happened, I'll tell you that. It was my Dad's birthday, so I had cake and everything that I didn't get to eat. The year before as well, I was in hospital for my Dad's birthday.) That's a long story, and maybe when I get bored I'll tell it. When I got home, I finished my English story and History project. Maybe I'll post the story sometime. I might even start a new blog, for my writings. I am starting a book... Hmm. Maybe later, if I need to. Anyway. I finished around 8:45-ish, which left me not long to blog. To end my day, I surfed the net, and went on MSN.
Comments, now. Again, 2 from Karen. Which is interesting, because I now have 10 followers. Hmm. Anyway.
*Karen: I know! It seems like everyone's given up. I never should have said that I don't need Victor's comments. *sigh*
*Karen: It is a good energy release, but my right arm hurt all of today. Bloody hell. And you are awesome. I wasn't looking forward to school as well. Friends yes, not school.
I'll just finish up now. I almost have to go to school (I am blogging on Wednesday morning. Explanation above.). Please comment, everybody, not just one person. I don't have a replies section for nothing.
