By that, of course, I mean that I got my last signature in hapkido. Which in turn means that I'm almost at orange belt. There's still some formalities to go through, but it's a near-certainty now. I'll go through all of that when I get to it. But, yeah, that was the biggest thing that happened today, although I will get to the rest; right now.
Period 1 was Science, in which we talked about Newton's Third Law, which was rather interesting and ended with a mutant horse being drawn on the board which originally levitated and talked telepathically (I know that that probably makes absolutely no sense whatsoever. What I mean is that Robson drew a horse on the board which had no mouth and whose legs didn't touch the ground at first. It made a lot more sense if you were there.). We learnt about many technicalities of the Third Law (well not technicalities, as they're aren't really trivial. But rather, it's more complicated than it seems, and we learnt how that happens.). We also said goodbye to Robson, who was going away for 2 weeks. We are thus getting Bruce as a sub; brilliant (warning: sarcasm). Period 2 was Geography, in which we went to the computer rooms to do some more of the assignment. I also spent about 15 minutes messing around on Excel trying to fix some stuff before I realised what I was trying to do wouldn't work; and even if it did, it wouldn't work in the assignment. Goddamn!
Recess was 13. Period 3 was English, in which we did yet more work for Squizzy Taylor, only this time it was quote mining. In other words, find lines in the book that, for example, say he's a gangster even though it's already made clear that he is a gangster even without a quote that says 'I, Squizzy Taylor, am a gangster.' I managed to find an indirect one, but it wasn't easy. But, enough of my ranting. I also had a look at my English assignment, which is due on Friday week. I started on that, which looks complex, but looking at it, it's actually fairly easy. Not incredibly easy, but still. Easier than it seems. Lunch was also 13, and in which Cam told me to do the script for the Drama assessment. Due tomorrow of course; it just never ends, does it?
It was then Sport, which was rugby yet again. And, unfortunately, the system of playing was made so that it was pretty much compulsory to play. There were 3 teams, and they switched around continuously. Or rather, that was what they said the system was. How it actually turned out was different: our team, whose players included John and Kevin, stayed on the field for the majority of the day. And when I pointed out that I did not really know the rules of rugby, I was told that maybe if I ask other people, they'll tell me. Not the teachers, they don't have nearly enough time (well, one teacher didn't know the rules either. So that's useful.). So, for the pretty much the whole game, I hung back and watched people run. I think I got the ball once, and I passed it away as soon as I could. Towards the end, though, our team did finally leave the game, and so we just played 31 for the rest of the day. And after school, I talked with Ebony, and we had a heated argument about AFL versus NRL. I insist that good old AFL is better and that NRL makes no sense; she says the reverse. Hmm. When I got home, I blogged a bit, and did the Drama script, which was only about a minute or so, so not too hard. Around 7, we left for hapkido.
Shay had work, as it seems she now has every Wednesday, but Shirisha was there, which is twice in a week. I don't think that's happened before, but I could be very wrong. The class was going well, and then it was time for my back roll signature. I was slightly confident, but not very. I went for it, and in the end, Grandmaster Geoff said: 'Go as fast as you can.' So I did, and I then promptly got my back roll signature. I did a silent expression of relief and joy (I can't explain it well, but I mouthed the word 'Yes!' while forming my right hand into a fist and brought my arm down, like I was pulling something down slowly. Hard to put it any way else.). I had gotten my very last white belt signature, thus leaving very little in my way to orange belt. The sad thing is that I didn't have to do a roll on my wrong side; the very reason I was putting it off. Oy vey. So what I now have to do now to get my orange is to submit my sheet with all my signatures and the my card with the dates of doing hapkido on it, along with $35 (I assume to buy a new belt), and wait. When I got in the car, I told Mum, 'I have bad news,' while turning away so she couldn't see me smiling. When she asked why, I replied: 'You're gonna have to pay $35...' And then she got it. I called Dad, and when I got home, I posted. But not enough.
And that was my day. Sorry about the later post, but hapkido was in the way, and there was still a post to do. Not a good combination. Ah well. Soon I will get back. Soon. No promises when.
Soon I will be past my orange belt; Hooray!,

A Surprisingly Marvelous Monday
Sure, it was a Monday. But, despite that obvious downside, it was a pretty good day. I'll get into how when I get to that part. Which is right after this sentence (also, titles. Annoying ones. Good ones elude me. ...You get the picture.).
Before school, I listened to the two new songs on my iPod, with one being 'Rasputin' by Boney M. and the other being 'Heal the World' by Michael Jackson. Two very different but still good songs. I also played 20 minutes of Battlefield Heroes, as I was bored. Well, why not? Period 1 was Geography, in which we did more work from the textbook. The work is even conceded by Johnson to be boring, and when the teacher says their own subject is boring, then you know it is. Next was Science. In that, we did work on speed and velocity, which is physics, yeah, but not the physics that I really enjoy. Astronomy, quantum physics, particle physics are just 3 awesome topics. But they won't teach us that in school, or at least not in Year 10. And for good reason, but still. Anyway. Recess was 13, but as there was an IPT exam, there weren't many people in our group there for it. Kevin and I also messed with Andy's mind by both of us pretending that we'd never played, 1984 style. It really trips people up, as they have no idea how to respond. It does get kind of boring, though.
Period 3 was Ag, and in that we did presentations. I was second or third, and it started off well after the first slide completely stuffed. The rest of it went through pretty smoothly, and I even got a few laughs. Not gigantic laughs, of course (it's potatoes), but still some. And towards the end of the class, Schippers said that my assignment was the best in the class so far. I felt pretty happy about that, as you'd expect, though I put it down to the 8 or so hours I spent on the presentation, as well as a few tricks that I've picked up messing around on Powerpoint. Period 4 was PE, with us getting an assignment not even an hour after I was done with the last one. Of course. I mean, it's not a really hard assignment. It's just keeping a scrapbook on road safety for a term or so, which means I'll have to keep a look out. In the actual period, we looked at advertising, and how it can be misleading. Example: 94% purer skin. Two things about that: how would you even calculate that; and more importantly, how do you purify skin? Skin is skin! Lunch was 13 with John and Eric, who'd come back from IPT, and Kevin and Andy, who never left.
Period 5 was Maths, in which we started a new topic on indices. Probably. We did work on it, regardless. Or, rather, some of us did the work. Mango was supposed to bring the textbook, but he didn't. So I spent some time looking at Year 11 work after Rawson showed us their textbook. And for the last 15 minutes or so, I looked at Pascal's triangle (Wikipedia shows us the way), and it has this property of the powers of 11. It's hard to fully explain. Anyway. I got bored, and showed that it worked in different bases (In base 9, the triangle shows the powers of 10. In base 2, it shows the powers of 3. It's always one base higher.). Just your standard A1 work. Period 6 was Drama, in which we went out to the farm to get the rest of the footage for our advertisement. I also got a new part: random politician who shoots Oscar then runs away. It makes much more sense in context. When the bell went, I went home (Captain Obvious to the rescue!), and went on my computer. Then, around 6:50, we left for hapkido.
Shay didn't come today, as she was snowed under by assignments. Like me last Wednesday. I got there early; to see Nick in an orange belt. Which means that there isn't many white belts left, although there are a few just starting (Shirisha being an example). The lesson itself was pretty good, although that was primarily because I got my 23rd signature: front roll. And it was the best front roll I have ever done. From a standing start, I went smoothly over, with my head not knocking against the ground, and getting up right away. I did it twice more (once on my right, which was OK but nothing to write home about), and I got it signed off. Which leaves one last signature to be gotten: back roll. Yeah. I'm sort of confident, but not fully. A bit more work, though, and I'll have it. I got home around 8:30, but I didn't get to blog completely. So here I am.
And that was my day. Sorry about the late post and everything, hapkido got in the way. Not that I'm complaining or anything, but I just get a bit annoyed when it happens. Although late posts really pale into comparison when it comes to hapkido. What I'm saying here, is that late posts may be frustrating, I wouldn't bloody quit hapkido just to get 800 words on my blog on time. Anyway. Tuesday's post will probably be shorter than this one, though mainly because this one is longer than I expected.

Seminars, Substitutes and Signatures
OK, I really don't like alliteration titles (as in, titles that start with the same sound. This one isn't that bad, because it's three. But still.). As usual though, I'm running late on posts, and creativity is not with me. Also, things just aren't happening that warrant their own title. Soon, hopefully.
Period 1 was one of those seminars. I had a whole rant planned out here, complete with wit, jokes, and sarcasm. However, towards the end, he pulled out the shock card, and told us that his son, who had been mentioned repeatedly, was killed by a drink driver. That revelation was followed by several seconds of silence as the fact really sank in. In retrospect, it was fairly obvious, after his prominence in the beginning and his passion towards the subject. But I didn't see it. So no jokes: that would be insensitive. Period 2 was Drama, which was working on an ad for a random product. Our group came up with the reverse of a microwave: A Coolwave (trademark). Ebony says it's impossible; I say get some liquid nitrogen. Anyway. It was actually pretty fun. Recess was 13, while listening to Monty Python on my iPod.
Period 3 was Commerce, which was doing some work off sheets with a sub. Kearney was here, but he was down at the seminar with another grade. I finished the work before the bell went (it didn't involve much real work. All you really had to do was read something from the sheets, write it down, and occasionally use a calculator), and went to read for the precious few minutes I had. Period 4 was Science, in which we had Mahfouz instead of Robson, for some ungodly and incredibly unfair reason. He gave us textbook work, which took all of maybe 20 minutes. So once that was done, I read more. I love when I can do that. Lunch was talking to people. (Yes, no 13 at lunch again.).
Period 5 was English, which was doing a bit of work on speeches, and what we can do to help our assignments along (I've already finished mine, of course, but it did help a bit). Period 6 was History, in which we were doing a Geography competition. I also came upon my eternal geographical worry: Latitude and Longitude. I can never work out which is which. (Wikipedia says latitude is north-south. I hope I'll remember that). After the quiz, Johnson told us which is which, and I therefore got at least 2 wrong. Ah well. When I got home, I talked on MSN and blogged for a bit, and around 7, I left for hapkido.
There weren't many people in class today, including Shirisha. Shay was here, but she has work on Wednesday, so she won't be here. Anyway. In class today we did work on a few new things. We did work to keep our heart rate up. Specifically, we got in front of a punching bag in defensive stance, and then tried to do 25 sets (left turning kick, left jab, right jab, right turning kick, right jab, left jab, left turning kick... you get the picture) while the rest of the class did 10 kicks. Needless to say, it was hard. We also did some knife defense, but halfway through it I felt a bit queasy (not entirely sure why), so I had to go get a drink and so on. I also got my 22nd signature: turning kick. I was worried when I did it, but I pulled through in the end. So that only leaves my rolls and $35 (for the belt), and I'll make it to orange. Expect a lot of rejoicing when that happens.
And that was my day. Yet again there are no comments, so this is the last paragraph. And I shall now stop complaining about having no comments; it's getting annoying to everybody. Especially me. Anyway. Yes, it's also another late post; that's due to hapkido, assignments, and sleeping in. This is very late, so Tuesday's just might be as well. Ah well. That happens.

The Good, The Bad and the Funny
OK, don't pretend you don't know what this title means. You know what it means. Well, maybe not Andy. Anyway. I'll get to that. What the title basically means is that there were good things, bad things, and funny things that happened during my day. ...Nobody said making titles was easy.
Before school, I blogged about Tuesday. But I didn't get to finish it. Before school, I talked mainly about Battlefield Heroes (I'm thinking of making a new character. You know, just because.) and the identity of The Anonymous Aeroplane (seriously, I have no idea.). First it was Role Call, which was reading. Ah, reading. Period 1 was Commerce, in which we got our assignments back that we did in April. (I know, because I had a look in previous posts. I love how I can do that now.). We also looked back on that pixie story from yesterday. Period 2 was Drama, in which we got an assessment. We got into groups (Kolodziej seems to love these). In the group that I'm in is me (no duh), Cameron, Ebony, Oscar and Shane. We've already got a really good idea going (though I'm not going to say, just in case.).
Recess was 13. My luck is improving, though it's far from awesome. Next was Period 3, which was Maths. I went to listen to my iPod before class, when it turned off. I tried again, and it turned off again. It turned out that I left my iPod on a video podcast that I was watching before school (Abridged, of course), which completely drained the iPod of power. So, yeah. Really lucky. In the actual Maths period, we proved that the square root of 2 is irrational. Wikipedia has the answer (we used the first proof). It seemed too... simple to be correct. But it was, so the square root of 2 is irrational.
Lunch was 13, and also making jokes. John told a joke about a Rolex (it was pretty funny, although I'd heard it before), and afterwards Andy said 'What's a Rolex?' After a long period of silence by the people who thought he was completely clueless (i.e. all of us), he went on to say 'Isn't it a type of tissue?' We then replied in unison: 'That's Kleenex!' (However, this is coming from the guy who thought you kissed with necks, so we probably shouldn't be surprised. Proof.) Sport was basketball, although as we didn't shoot for the hoop much, I did fairly well. Ebony was in the group I was in, and she actually did stuff. I mean, she threw and caught the ball repeatedly (This is actually pretty good for Ebony, though.). After school, I talked with Ebony, as I do on Wednesdays after school when Victor is gone. And when I got home, I watched TV and went on my laptop, until it was time for hapkido.
Shay actually came today, although Shirisha didn't (it turns out she's only going to be coming once a week. I think that's a bit strange, but ah well.). Today we just did a bit of basic stuff, and for the first time in a while we did some rolls (I learnt I need to work on them). I also showed a new white belt the ropes. I think his brother is a yellow belt. However, all that pales into comparison to what I got today: my third tip! That means I have only three signatures left before I can get my orange belt, with those three being the turning kick (I still need some work on it) and the rolls (I'm good on a good day. Today was not a good day for rolls.). So I got my third tip, and then waited around for Jo to pick us up. But I didn't blog all the way, so here I am.
To comments now, 1 from 1 person.
*Ebony: E and V, V and E... Bloody hell. Somebody has way too much time on their hands. It was indeed funny, although being a weirdo is fun.
And that was my day. Sorry about the lateness of the post, soon my schedule will be back to normal. Procrastination and many things getting in the way (like assignments and hapkido) are stopping me from blogging when I'd like. Well, that happens. Ah well.

Off to a Great Start
That was sarcasm, of course. It's the beginning of school, a Monday, and many little things went wrong. Mostly during the latter half of the day. I mean, my sports jacket broke (the whole left pocket is now mutilated), and I stuffed up several times in hapkido. Although, I did, finally, get the signature for my cross. But yeah. Just a lot of little things. Ah well. Stuff happens.
I woke up around 6 (I am going to kick this habit of telling people when I get up. This is the final day.), as I do on weekdays. I got ready, and I ended up getting to school at around 8:15. I then waited for people in the group to arrive, which was luckily only about 30 seconds. Eric came to the table first, then Kevin, Andy, and gradually people began to filter in. I talked about Battlefield Heroes with Kevin and Andy, Spore with Eric, and utter randomness with the whole group, when they got there (barring John and Victor, the former did not come and the latter was late). Example of the randomness: What if Shafi were Wolverine. This came about somehow and was the funniest thing I'd heard in a long time. Ah, how I missed school. Period 1 was English, which was talking about communism in Eastern Europe and how books were banned in America for retarded reasons (1984 is not about communism). Hancock also mentioned Kazakhstan, promptly making everybody bar two people laugh at the (intentional) reference to Borat. Which I am still to see. Maths was a lot of algebra combined with a bit of geometry. Just your standard A1 stuff, really.
Recess was 13, back to normal. I was on a big losing streak. I think I got the 3 of spades once, and did not win a single game. Period 3 was Drama, in which we did a slight amount of work on storyboarding. Cam and I also talked about 'End of the World.' It's a great song, and we both like it. At another point, the school duck came to the door (yes, we have a school duck), and we pointed it out to Kolodziej. Who promptly said: 'It's not a duck, it's a pelican.' If it looks like a duck and it quacks like a duck, it's a duck (it was, in fact, a duck. Pelicans have a gigantic beak. This small water bird did not.). Next was Commerce, which was supposed to be doing the various pros and cons of casual employment, but which turned into talking about the various jobs people have, and what Kearney used to do before he was a teacher, and before he was a lawyer.
Lunch was more 13, and in which I continued my losing streak. Although there was a very funny hand. Andy had quad 2, but we played anyway. At one point he played double 2, expecting to win easily. Eric then got him with a double bomb, winning the game. It was epic. I won one game in this round. Well, maybe tomorrow. Periods 5 and 6 were double PE, in which we did some work on that game from a while ago called Tchoukball. It was mainly skills, though towards the end we did do a game of it. We were disadvantaged against the other team, as it was 6 against 5. And then Matt sat out, so it was 6 against 4. We were losing badly (the score was something like 9-3), until Wilson called out 'Last goal wins!' At that point, we had possession of the ball, and Tan threw it at the trampoline. Everybody crowded around a single point, and then Alan shot up into the air, and caught the ball. We won. Then, it was time to go, and I got home about 3:30. Around 6:45, we left for hapkido.
Shay came today, as did Shirisha. So I introduced Shirisha around, to Nick (who came after taking a break over the holidays), Amadeus, Vivian, and of course, Shaylee. The lesson itself was more of a skills one, focusing on the techniques rather than anything else. I learnt that my collar grab needs a bit of work, but that my cross is improving. So much, in fact, that I got my signature, on my third try. Third time's the charm, I suppose. We finished around 8:20, but we stayed so that Shay could get her second tip. I blogged after hapkido, but I didn't get to finish in time. So here I am, blogging the following morning.
There are no comments (sort of unsurprising), so this is the last paragraph. Today wasn't so much a bad day, but it wasn't not a bad day. 6 of one, half a dozen of the other, really. And this post itself wasn't too bad: finally something longer than 600 words. Tomorrow's post might be a bit shorter though; ah well.

All Slowing Down
It just seems like, as the term comes to a close and the holidays beckon, work begins to lessen. There's not much to be done, and everyone is going to enjoy their two weeks off. I certainly am. And today seemed to be the epitome of that slowing down. Let's see the day, shall we?
First was Role Call, in which nobody really did anything, though we did get an 'excursion' sheet for next term. It's another one of those 'let's stop bullying through paying money and go to a hall to watch people act badly! Hooray!' Like that 'Aunty Pat' thing a few weeks ago. *shudders* I'm not going to be volunteering for the thing next term, that's for sure. Period 1 was Drama, in which we were supposed to be looking up the history of advertising. Although half the computers were broken, so most of the class just bludged around. Ebony, Amy and I spent the period seeing if we could guess the answer to people's secret questions. Not to change the password or anything (I want to make that very clear), but just to see. We only got Cameron's and Victor's, whose passwords were both very easy. Kolodziej had to change his, because he thought we could guess it (the answer was yes, yes we could.). Next was Maths, in which we were doing ratios. And you know what's fun about ratios? Absolutely nothing. They're crap.
Recess was talking, and the second half was 13. Don't know why, it just turned out that way. Period 3 was PE, and Wilson was away again, so we had a sub (or, as Kolodziej would say, a 'casual'). He spent a majority of the lesson talking about complimenting people, and how that can improve relationships. He came off a bit on edge at the start of the class, but he ended up being really good. I like classes like that, where teachers just talk about what people can do to improve their lives, not how they can improve their grades. Classes which have a direct link to life outside of school. But, I'm off topic. Good class. Lunch was 13, of course. On a side note, Andy can be very... weird. I was talking about kissing (for some reason), and he said 'With lips or necks?' There has got to be some logic behind that, but for the love of god I can't find it. Anyway.
Then it was Sport, which was basketball. I have a strange thing with basketball: I can run and dribble and pass pretty well, or at the very least, average. But put me in front of a hoop and I fail. Repeatedly. Yes, I do get lucky occasionally. But for the most part, I can't shoot. I've never been able to do it consistently. I usually just pass it to someone else. It's a lot easier that way. After sport, Dad picked me up, and we both went to pick EJ up from school. In which I had the most fun I've had in ages.
We found EJ's class, and we waved to him. EJ spotted us; and did nothing. Basically he pretended we weren't there. So I decided I'd have some fun. So I kept waving to him. But he decided he'd stop me, and he tried to close the blinds. But I just went up to the windows and kept waving. And I wasn't done yet: I went into the bagroom, and introduced myself to his class. When he came back from doing something, I went 'Hi, Eejee!' Ebony was also there for some reason, and she tried to do it as well. It was a classic. When we actually got home, I blogged, and then around 6:45, I left for hapkido.
I got a signature in hapkido today, for my uppercut. I still need to work on my cross, though. The session was an interesting one, as we did a lot of unorthodox work, or at least things we don't do so often. We also had a new white belt, whose name is Daniel. He reminds me a bit of me, as he's still getting used to all the kicks and exercises like that. When I got home, I blogged, but as usual after hapkido, I couldn't finish on time.
And that was my day. All in all, it was a really good day. I bludged around on the computers, I got a signature, I embarrassed my brother, and to top it off, it's near the end of the holidays. This was a great day.

Lost and Found
I refer to my iPod, which was lost, and eventually found. It was the main event of my day. If it hadn't have been found, then I would be in deep trouble. Mainly because my iPod is nearly always with me, and it's a good release valve. But, I'm off topic. To my Monday, which was both better and worse than I expected.
I blogged before school, and then went to get my stuff to bring to school. And something struck me: my iPod was nowhere to be seen. Not in my room, not in my bag, not anywhere. I panicked. When Mum found out what I was looking for, she lost it (meaning she got angry. She didn't literally lose anything. That would be a very cruel coincidence.). We got to the station late because of it, and I ran for the train. The train was late. Very much so. So I ran all that way for nothing. Goddamn. Before school, I talked with people, and tried to remain calm. Period 1 was Ag, in which we drew for the order in which we would do our Ag assignments next term. I'm either 6th or 7th (and what's 6 x 7? 42!), depending on how Schippers is going to run it. Next was Geo, in which Johnson tried to get us to do a definitions quiz. But, luckily, she forgot to tell us on Friday, so we're doing it tomorrow. Thank god. More time to prepare.
Recess was not actually 13, but just talking. Call me crazy, but I didn't feel like 13. (Yes, I know. No, I'm not kidding.) Period 3 was Maths, in which we did some work on congruent triangles. Which, like most things is Maths, is essentially doing the same thing over and over, with a slight twist. But this class was especially a bludge, as Rawson ended up going on Geometer's Sketchpad to show us stuff. Next was Science, in which we watched videos about reproduction in cells. Also a bludge. These things happen. Lunch was talking about random things, as well as the odd game of 13.
Period 5 was Commerce, in which we had Cody instead of Kearney. In that, we just worked from a sheet. I also did my Science homework. Well, why not? Last was English, in which we did more comparisons between Animal Farm and the Soviet Union. After the bell went, I caught the bus home, and I spent the time at home doing some blogging, and I finally found my iPod. It was in my pants pocket in the washing machine, that wasn't put on yet. So a really, really close shave there. But, all's well that ends well. Then, after going on MSN and a bit of blogging, around 7, we left for hapkido.
In this session, I got 2 signatures, thus giving me 18 signatures. Only 6 to go before I can become an orange belt. Hooray! Today we did some work on evasion and self-defence, among other things. I finally fixed up my back rolls, and I taught a guy some of the aforementioned evasion and self-defence. Today was a great day. Apart from the iPod losing, of course, but apart from that, it was really good. After I got home, I blogged a bit, and here I am, a day late, blogging.
To comments, 3 from 3 people.
*Victor: Stop bagging the movie. I liked it, and I wasn't a die-hard Transformers fan. Accept it for what it is, not what it could be.
*Ebony: I'm not quite sure about which part to respond to about this comment. I think I've covered all of it in previous comments. But yes. I got another commenter.
*Anon: Who are you, Anonymous Aeroplane?!
And that was my Monday. Overall a good day, but it could have been better. But, I suppose, that's how life goes. Win some, lose some. Anyway. I'm starting to get philosophical, which means it's time to end the post.

A Mixed Bag of a Monday
The good things have been really good, but the bad things have been really bad. My Mum's sick, EJ has been revealed to have horrible posture and needs to do core strengthening exercises for the rest of his life (I'm probably not exaggerating here. If I am, it's not intentional.), and worst of all, Nanny and Poppa's dog, Jack, has had to be put down. No, I'm not kidding. Can we all, in complete seriousness, have a moment of silence? ...Thank you. Now, if we can turn to more pleasant matters, to my Monday.
Before school, I watched some TV, and did a small amount of blogging. Period 1 was Science, which was doing some work from the textbook, for the first time in weeks. Maybe even months. A long time, in any case. Wasn't hard work, so much as work. Next was Geo, which was doing a quiz on the geography of South-East Asia. I got 29/33, as I forgot the capitals of the Philippines (Manila), Sri Lanka (Colombo) and Vietnam (I put Ho Chi Minh instead of Hanoi. So did the teacher), and the sea west of India (Arabian). We then did some more work from the textbook. Recess was 13, as usual.
Period 3 was English, which was kind of a weird period. At one point, Hancock left to go do some stuff, and Andrew asked Nancy for food (why is a good question). So she handed some Asian biscuits around. I had one. Big mistake. The taste went something like: Yeah, these are good!; What's that taste coming on?; I'm starting to regret this...; Eurgh! And to top it off, there were some crumbs caught in the braces. I had a horrible faint taste in my mouth for hours. Period 4 was Maths, which was doing some more work from the textbook. Notice how "work from the textbook" has been used three times now (well, four, but that last one doesn't count). That was very annoying. Lunch was more 13.
Period 5 was Drama, in which, as Kolodziej was down with the cast of the Hurlstone musical, we had a sub, Pollock. We also did some work on advertising, and we had to draw our own ad. Let me say one thing: It's a good thing I don't do Art. I made this ad about 'extreme mineral water' called H2Go! (yes, with an exclamation mark). I really couldn't think of anything else; I got the inspiration from a water bottle on Amy's desk. I also arranged to borrow a book from Pollock after he saw 'Uncle Tungsten' on my desk, and said he had a book by the same author, Oliver Sacks. In Period 6, Commerce, we were in one of the computer rooms, and we were essentially copying stuff from a news article into our books. It wasn't just that, of course, but it was essentially that. Dad then picked me up, and we went down to Wattle Grove Shops and had some afternoon tea. Then around 7, I left for hapkido.
Shay didn't come because she was sick (it seems to be going around), so I went by myself. But it was a really good lesson. There was this black belt that hadn't come to lessons for a while, and I ended up being partnered with her. So get this: I had to show her how to do basic evasion. Me, a white belt, showing a black belt how to do an evasion in hapkido. It was just not how it was supposed to be done. Grandmaster Geoff also showed how to beat force using a few simple tricks. So when I got home, I decided to use one on Dad; in an arm wrestle. I beat him. His expression after I had beat him was priceless. And I ended my day blogging about Sunday, because that's exactly the kind if trouble I'm in.
And that was my Monday. Until I get a good solid day of blogging in, I'm not going to be able to catch up quickly. So the label 'late post' is hereby eliminated. I've had enough of it. Say goodbye to 'late post.'

So Much To Do
And today was the epitome of this week: not much work at school, but heaps outside of it. Wednesdays are the best day of the week, though, so it was a good day overall. Well, the day itself was good. The stress of assignments is getting to me though. It'll be finished by Friday, though, which will be a happy, happy day. Thank god for Fridays (OK, I'm getting really ahead of myself. It's only Wednesday!). A late post again, things got in the way.
Before school, I finished off Tuesday's post, as the Drama Journal... well, I covered this in the last post. First, it was Role Call, which was just doing some reading. The usual. Period 1 was Maths, which was a big bludge. Half the people were doing some 3 hour Maths comp (*shudders*), so we just did work on quadrilaterals. This is Year 7 work. When I finished that (i.e., after about 10 minutes), I got very bored, so I drew some of my random comic characters (such as Anime Man and Jesus the Zombie Crab. This will make no sense to anyone except me, I know.). Then it was Period 2, which was Drama. We handed in our Journals, and then we spent the period talking about the performance on Monday. It was another bludge of a period. Recess was spent playing 13, as per usual.
Period 3 was Commerce, which was doing some of the presentations for the in-class assignment. We have some difficulties with people being away and so forth, so we just had to talk about our topic. That was also a bit of a bludge. Lunch was 13, again. Then it was School Sport, which was some game with two gigantic tennis balls and four goals. Nobody really knew what was going on or how to play. I don't think the teachers quite understood either. It seemed a bit pointless. We played that for about 45 minutes, and then half the class (including yours truly) migrated to the stage, where we did absolutely nothing for the rest of the school day. How I love School Sport. When the bell went, Victor, Ebony and I went and talked. Then, when Victor left, Ebony and I talked, along with Mango who arrived from soccer. Around 2:50, we left for the train, and I got home around 3:30. And after a while, around 6:45, it was time for hapkido.
Today was a very good day in hapkido. I really, really need to work on my right leg back roll, I worked that out. But, I also got signatures, enough to put me on my second tip. Hooray! I also completed my required 20 lessons. So now, I have 7 days and 9 signatures to go before orange belt. Things are looking up. The lesson itself was pretty good, as I learnt what was wrong with my crosses. I also found that my hooks are good. Hapkido is fun. Back at home, I did some of my blog, but I wasn't quick enough. So I'm doing it now.
And as there are no comments, this is the final paragraph. There will probably be a late Thursday post. We'll have to see how quickly the assignment gets done. I didn't mean to leave it until the last minute.
Oh, the work!,

The Drama Assessment
Yes, that's right, it was our group's Drama assessment today. Expect a long bit about it, and a rant on the journal (bloody Kolodziej and his... wait. I'm not there yet.). Also a bit about hapkido. Anyway. Also a late post; hapkido ran late. I also blame society (Of course!).
I woke up today to the sounds of my brother, as he was going to his Year 6 camp today, and getting back on Wednesday. If I can say a touch selfishly, it's really good timing. I can't afford distractions from this bloody Drama J... Back to the topic. How about I just scatter my rant through the blog? That would save time. Before school, I said goodbye to my brother for a few days, and then I finished off Sunday's post. Something I have realised: Blogging before the next day is not the be-all and end-all. It's preferable, certainly, but not necessary. Anyway. Period 1 was Geography, which was doing more work from the textbook. It's fairly simple: read the question, refer back to the text, answer question. Repeat. Just basic NTR work. Period 2 was Science, which was doing some more work on waves, and some work on optical fibres. Robson showed us this device which had optical fibres sticking out of it, like hair, and a light from below. It's hard to explain, but long story short, it looked pretty awesome. He also showed us what happened when you shine a laser pointer into a block of perspex (answer: total internal reflection resulting in the whole block glowing, and the further confirmation that I want a laser pointer).
Recess was practicing for the Drama assessment. (I played one hand of 13 for the entire day. I feel so... un-me.) Period 3 was Ag, which was doing some work on goats. It wasn't hard work; I forgot I had it, so I read for most of the period. Then finished the sheet in 10 minutes. Period 4 was PE, in which we didn't have Wilson. I was looking forward to another period of doing nothing, but the sub came. And went. And came again. All the while, we're doing work that seemed pointless and probably was. But still, it was a bludge (memorable moment: Norris walking in and asking 'Do you have a teacher?' I expect if we had said no, he'd come in and teach. I wouldn't know if that was good or bad.) By the end of the period, I just ended up reading.
Lunch was more work on the Drama assessment. Period 5 was Maths was starting a new topic on something called Deductive Geometry, which doesn't sound good. But we might be able to go on Geometer's Sketchpad, so I suppose it isn't all bad. Then, it was Period 6: The Drama Assessment. First, it was Shane's group, which was funny, but less funny than I expected. Then, when they were finished, it was our turn. We started off with Pradeepti forgetting some of her lines, though it wasn't too obvious. Then it was time for Scene 2. That was pulled off pretty well, though there was a slight mix-up of lines. It still worked out pretty well though. Scene 3 ran really smoothly. Scene 4 was fine as well. And that was our play. A short few lines? It was a short play. Shorter than I'd expected or realised. Although come to think of it it was long enough. Now all that's left to be done is the Drama Journal. Though that's probably going to be easier than I thought. And when the bell went, I caught a ride home. At home, I did the Drama journal. I have a better feeling about it, but it's still going to be a fair bit of work. And around 6:45, we left for hapkido.
Shay was here today, and so I was partnered with her. The class today was focused on a technical side, after the effects of this year's Hell Camp (I wasn't there, obviously. But form what I heard it was... well, hell.). I learnt today that I need to step less on my crosses, and that my rolls need some work. My kicks, however, are getting there. After class, Grandmaster Geoff ran through signatures. I finished all of my grabs, and he also surprised me on hapkido theory (circular motion, water theory, non-resistance). So now I have 13 signatures, and I'm one away from a second tip. I am now 9 days, 1 class, and 11 signatures away from an orange belt. It's on the horizon. At home, I blogged a bit; but it wasn't enough. So here I am.
To comments, 2 from 2 people.
*Ebony: Stop trying to insult me. Weird is a compliment to me. Get over it. And I don't think you're one to call me socially unaware. Just saying. I can also blog whenever I want. It's my blog, dammit!
*Anon: My guess is... Shafi?
Well, that was my Monday. Tuesday may or may not be a late post, depending on the Drama journal. But apart from that, no real reason to be.

Exercise and More Exercise
Today involved a lot, I mean a lot, of exercise. Read through and you'll get the general picture. And, Happy Birthday EJ! He is 11. Also, I know it is a late post. Blame hapkido. Even awesomeness has its downsides.
I slept in 45 minutes today, after the exhausting night I had last night. Luckily (or unluckily, depending on which way you put it), I got to school on time, but I only got to blog something like 2 paragraphs before it was time to go to school. Oy vey. When I actually got to school, not many people were there, and several people went to an IPT excursion. The people who were left at the table: me, Kevin, Andy, Ian, Shafi. Role Call was just reading. Periods 1 and 2 were PE, which was more cricket. We were playing indoor cricket instead though, and as we couldn't lose the balls, and they were tennis balls, we could smash them basically as hard as we wanted to. And smash them I did. Heaps of our people. In one memorable event, Alan hit a ball of Hewie, which went straight into a Lachlan Macquarie plaque (Macquarie is always getting smashed), then bounced straight into Allie's head. Wilson also warned us about hitting the clocks; but he said we'd need good timing to do that (Timing? Clocks? LOL!). I loved smashing it. Towards the end, we played 2 games of indoor cricket, of which our team won both. Go the Blues! (We were the blue team.)
Recess was 13, with everybody here. So, 5. We managed it though. Period 3 was Commerce, which was doing work on our in-class assignment. I do not want to be stuck doing it all like the last Commerce in-class assignment (bloody Matt and Javery). But, yeah, I actually got some work done. Lunch was 13, even when Shafi and Ian left, and we were stuck with 3 people. So we added an imaginary guy called 'Larry' for some reason, and we could take any hand we wanted. That was fun.
Then it was School Sport, in which we went back into the hall after a while with everyone procrastinating. We played dodgeball, so it was a good thing that Ebony was at the IPT excursion. I did pretty well, except for when I accidentally took out Alex Tieu. Long story short, he was sitting down, I threw a ball, people got out of the way, the ball hit him. In the braces. Not my fault; sitting down in a game of dodgeball is a very, very bad idea. Anyway. First we played against the Year 9s, with Year 7s split between us. We won all of the games we played against them. Then we played the Year 7s. We won most of the games, but not all. They outnumbered us, man! I was picked up by my Dad around 2:30, and then we went to Wattle Grove Shops. We got home around 3:30.
I finished my blog around 4;15, after much procrastination and other such things. I then spent a while on MSN, before going to EJ's birthday dinner. Which, in classic EJ style, was Red Rooster. I had way too much for dinner, I'll say that. Because, at 7, I left for hapkido. Shay didn't come, as she was sick. We had Grandmaster Geoff and Tina for teachers, and together they work pretty well. I got 2 signatures today, which puts me up to enough signatures for a tip! For those that don't know what that is, each 7 signatures, you get a tip. I'm not entirely sure why, but why not? I now have 8 signatures, and in exactly two weeks I am eligible for an orange belt (3 months, 20 classes. I've got two weeks before I've done 3 months, and I've done 18 classes.). Hopefully I'll get it soon. After hapkido, I got home, and did a bit of my blog, while eating some cake of course (mmm, chocolate cake...), and listening to Queen on my iPod. Hooray for Queen!. But I didn't get to finish my post, so here I am.
Well, that was my day. The next few posts shouldn't be too late. Or, alternatively, not very late. At least not too late. Oh, whatever.

It's Always Mondays
I'm not sure if the grammar in that is right. But it's 9 on Monday night. I can be excused from grammatical sense. But, anyway. To my Monday.
Before school, I talked to Ebony about the Drama project (of which the script is done, thanks to Pradeepti), and the Drama journal. That's gonna be a weekend thing. I also handed in my English assignment before school, because I forgot to bring a rubber band. Period 1 was Science, which was doing more work on that induction coil from Friday. We also did some work on electromagnetism. Next was Computer Maths, which was, in fact doing Maths on the computers. But it was just rote Excel work. I do not enjoy that type of Computer Maths, especially when I can't get on the internet or go on Geometer's Sketchpad. Even when work is done. Bloody hell. Recess was the usual.
Periods 3 and 4 were double Ag, which was going down to the goat shed to vaccinate the goats. I also talked to Hewie, Alan and Ebony about the social tomorrow; I'm still not sure if I'll come as anything. I'll have to see. I have a few ideas, but... anyway. We were vaccinating goats. I also confirmed something I have suspected: Goats hate me. It's not that they do anything to me, it's just they make life frustrating. It took me something like 8 goes just to vaccinate one goat. I had to pick the only one with no skin to grab, and to top it off it just kept moving. When I went to hold them, they even pulled away. It was annoying. But I ended up vaccinating it. I also talked to people about the quality of teachers in the school. For some reason. The conversation just veered on to that subject, as well as my brother coming to Hurlstone and private schools comparing to selective schools. Don't ask me why, it just did.
Lunch was 13, except I actually had a fairly good winning streak. So did Eric. He only got out once. Bloody hell. Period 5 was English, of which the first part was talking about the exam. I got good signs, and I got bad signs. I'll have to see the actual exam. We also listened to more scenes from Macbeth, and I really hope it's better on stage. Because if it's anything like the way it is on tape, it isn't going to be very good. It's not bad as such, but it's unprofessional and it sounds too much like they're reading from a script. Anyway. Period 6 was History, which was just doing work out of class. And while I was out of class for about 5 minutes, I saw people from Holsworthy High, presumably here for something like cross country. I didn't think much of it, except as a curiosity - yet. When tying my shoe, I heard a voice that called 'AB!' Without thinking I looked up, and saw these 5 Holsworthy kids, who promptly went 'You went to Holsworthy!' and went for a hi-5. At this point, I thought 'Why me?' People always seem to know me, and I have no idea who they are. It's happened time and time again. It gets really frustrating. Anyway. When the bell went, I went home, and then celebrated having no English project by watching TV and going on my laptop. I'll probably get in to my Drama journal around Thursday, when I actually have a decent time to do it after school.
Around 6:45, I left for hapkido. This lesson, I snuck a signature in, and also learnt just how long I have been gone. My kicks are worse than they were, my rolls have degenerated a bit, and Dylan is now an orange belt. From now on, no extended breaks if I can help it. But, there is some semblance of normality, as Grandmaster Geoff is still there and Nick is still a white belt. If I make it to orange belt before him, I will be slightly ashamed.
As there are no comments, this is my last paragraph. Tomorrow's post will be a late one, because of the social (hooray for the social!). I also noticed something on the horizon, on my word count: It's gradually nearing 100,000 words. Which comes to something like 700 words a post. When I started I was lucky to get 350. Anyway. Something of interest, to nobody but me.

Athletics Carnival '09
I love Athletics Carnivals. And no, it's not because of the athletics. It's because you get a day off work while still talking and hanging with friends. It's the all the good parts of school with none of the bad. Anyway, to my Monday, which for a Monday went pretty well. And it's a late post, I know, it's only partially my fault.
I got to the centre around 8:20, and for a while I talked to Peter (I think that's his name. He's the Year 11 on Station 3 who talks to Cam.). Then, when one of the trains came in, I started talking to all the people on it, who was everyone in our group barring John and Andy. When they came in, we talked about Spore for a while, and then it was Role Call. When that was done, our whole group (Eric, Cam, Victor, me, John, Kevin, Andy, Ian, Shafi and Ebony now and then) went down to the place where we usually sit, which is next to the grandstand and is under cover. We played 13 for a while (my luck was not so good today, at least in cards), as well as a game of Royals (it's hard to explain, but it's a game that only really our group knows) and then we broke up a bit. Andy started playing his DS, so I decided to get mine out (yes, I brought it). I played Pokemon for a while, until John revealed he had brought his Pokemon Sapphire and GBA SP. On inspection of his game, I found he had all 3 Johto starters, and I immediately thought 'Jackpot!' I then spent the next, say, hour and a half breeding them all, naming them, and transferring them over, while trying to play some cards and talk to people. However, it all turned out for the best, as I now have something like 4 Pokemon left to get.
It was then Recess, in which I played some cards, and talked to people. Then Ebony came over and we all talked for a while, while I played DS on and off and watched John and Kevin own the Battle Tower with John's Swampert, Blissey and Salamence (note to self: get Level 100 Blissey.). Until Lunch around 1, I mostly spent the time talking to Victor and Ebony, watching John and Kevin, and several other assorted things. These assorted things being: chasing Johnny (not John) around to get Andy's bag, twice, then finding out that he took it because Andy took some bottle, and getting him; being pissed at Shafi after I got my shoe trapped in one of the rock cages, then him putting my shoe on the other side of the fence repeatedly (it was very annoying, thanks to Ian for the save); and evolving a few of my Pokemon. At Lunch, I played cards, and I also took two salad rolls from the boarders' lunches. Let me set the record straight here though: it was offered to us. There were extras, so I took a salad roll. Then I went to the canteen, but the prices were outrageous ($4.50 for a cup of hot chips is not fair), so I took another salad roll. I then played some 13, and went to watch the races; on and off (I also played some DS). Then around 2:30, we all got our names marked off and we went down to Leumeah train station.
On the train ride to Holsworthy, I talked to Andy, until he got off at his stop. When I got to Holsworthy, I talked to Ebony for a bit, and when the bus came, I continued to talk to her, as 'her people' were not there. When EJ got on the bus, Ebony also started talking to him, which freaked my brother out no end. When she got off, I played my DS, and when we got home, I watched TV, went on my laptop, and I also did some work on my English assessment. That's due on the 15th, so I still have some work to do. But I'm going to leave it all to the last minute like usual. Anyway. Around 6:45, it was time to go to hapkido.
Today I got signatures, and the trainers were Tina and Geoff. They make a really good combo, and it was a great session. I did one good back-roll (I also did 5 horrible ones, but I'm getting there), my front snap kicks are improving, and belt promotion is in sight. I mean, I still have a month to go before I'm even eligible, and my turning kicks need a lot of work, but I've got a good feeling. The signatures I did were just the stances, but they're better than none. Then, when I got home, I got on my laptop, but I couldn't blog fast enough. So here I am, around 7:30, blogging.
Well, again, I have no comments. But I'm fine with that. I went through all of this last post. So this'll be my closing paragraph. I cannot wait for the next Athletics Carnival, but nearer to today, Friday looks pretty good. It's a 4-day weekend, which I love. It's good to get a break from school every now and then. To everyone, I welcome (and prefer) comments, but don't need (or expect) them.
I love school days without work,
