Working Weekends

Well, not working like making money working. Homework. Unfortunately. Anyway. That's what I've spent a lot of my day doing, and it's too much; I've got a Commerce assessment and a short story due next week. In the last week. Anyway, onto my day, I've had enough ranting here.

I woke up around 6 (adjusting for daylight savings), and luckily got the net, so I was able to post, as you can see. After reading, my laptop, breakfast, TV, my iPod, and so on, it was around 11 (the hours just sorta blurred together), and my parents got here. I put on my hapkido uniform to show my grandparents and my Dad, all who had not seen me in it, and when I got back to the lounge-room, my cube puzzle was broken. The string holding the blocks together had snapped, and the puzzle just fell to pieces. It's in an airtight sandwich bag right now. *sigh* I had fun with that puzzle. RIP, Snake cube. When we got home, we had to unpack our stuff, hang the clothes on the line, and clean our rooms, all before lunch. Then after lunch, I had to get my hair cut (which means I'll look fairly ridiculous on Monday), and start my project. I've done around 150 words each on my Commerce assessment and short story. Good for Commerce, not that great for English. I'll do more on Monday, when thinking resumes. But until then, nothing. I also went on MSN, a fair deal, and right now I'm on MSN and listening to Queen (of course. Incidentally the song stuck in my head is 'Good Old-Fashioned Lover Boy.'). I should finish most of my work by Monday or Tuesday, because after that, it's the end of term. It got here quick. Oh, if anyone's interested in recommending me some music, go ahead; it's getting to the point where I can sing entire Queen songs off by heart, and while that's awesome, it also means I need to listen to more people. And, no, before you say anything, Victor, not bands like Dark Tranquility or similar. Pick something else.

OK, onto comments, and I'll be doing two mini-parts here: retro comments, where I look back on comments not from yesterday. Retro comments:
* This anonymous comment on April 1: It turned out to be my Dad. Copying from Wikipedia. Why is an extremely good question.
* This comment from Karen on March 31: I didn't pick it up because she posted it yesterday. And thanks for following; that makes 6 (Mango's following too.). And of course Maths is boring, it just gets so repetitive.
* This comment from Ebony on April 3: I didn't see it because it was commented after I posted. Ah well. And I want Robson back too; after two years of Mahfouz, then Fernandes, I just want a decent teacher, dammit!
Now proper comments, 5 of them today, from 5 different people, which reflects the wide diversity of... something. To the comments!
*Ebony: It's true, it's all true with Victor. About the grandparent's computer, that was freaky. Yes, they have one, but I used my laptop. And my grandparents aren't really talkative. And how do you not have an iPod? Shafi has one, for god's sake, and he's technologically backward (no offence, man, but it's true.) And Facebook is overrated, I only got one because my Dad and my brother wanted somebody for Mafia Wars. I never go on it. And not commenting is fine; I would have commented yesterday, but I couldn't. Bugger.
*Mango: Shameless self-promotion there. But then I'm not one to talk, I had my blog link in my MSN personal message for weeks.
*Victor: Yes, she is. Another -1, there's a surprise. But you commented third (after Mango!), so -1 for you. And I know 'Black Betty' isn't by Spiderbait (Wikipedia), but it's a bloody awesome cover.
*Karen: Yes, it's amazing! I love the guitar in it. And if the sing-off is what I think it is (the band thing), that was fun. I sorta want to do it again. My grandparents are funny too, especially my grandfather, when he's in a good mood. And it only seems like I have eventful weekends, that's just how I write them.
*Shafi: OK, I'm gonna have to do this one sentence at a time. This comment deserves its own post (lol). I've barely started my story too. My iPod has 4 gb of memory. I'll agree with the number of people commenting. LOL means laughing out loud. I really can't function (well) without my iPod or net; it's just who I am. Hassium really is an element, proof here. I know, so many readers; I'm awesome! No idea what that blazer thing means, it's got Schippers grammar. You make sense most of the time. It isn't bugging me, it's awesome. Kevin was in a car crash, but from what I can hear it was fairly minor. I just call you Shaf, it's easier. LOL at your Dad's work. Extra-long comments are awesome.

Well, I'm gonna sign off, it's been a long day and I need to unwind a bit before the long/short week (long in that a lot of work, short in that it finished Thursday at 2.) Keep commenting, everybody, these are fun.

I'm dreading/loving the new week,
AB

  1. I just feel like annoying Victor.

(Please don't hold it against me Victor. After all, Im inflated ur ego today :L)

I have 2GB on my phone, so I don't need an ipod. Or so my parents say. Truthfully, I don't think I'd use it, there's a permanent jukebox in my head. No, seriously.

I was "working weekends" as well, but I get paid time and a half. Oh, how I adore Sundays. =)

You realise the short story is not homework. Or is it? I don't think so.

Anyways, it's time for little Ebonys to go to sleep now.

PS: Ever think of getting rid of the word verify?? I mean seriously, word like hiesisme are just unnecessary.

its fun reading about other peoples days :)

mahfouz is an exciting teacher, i had him last year. slept through most of his classes because the other half was spent telling off jayson and tahlia for being noisy.

watts is kind of boring to be honest!

anyways i shall leave you too it!
    see you tmrw!

  8. Thank god for the extra hour after daylight saving. I needed a good sleep. What did you do with your hour?

If you're at the point where you can sing Queen songs off by heart, you should buy singstar Queen. I hear the songs on it are really good.

Your friend Victor has issues. No offense. But I agree with him and Ebony about the word verify.
