OK, I'm having slight titling difficulties. This one is a reference to the song 'Black & Gold.' So, yeah. I know my titling is a problem, I am trying to fix it. Some things are unavoidable though. Ah well. I better get to my day, which was quite good.
I was driven to school, after a stuff-up I made with packing my bag, and so I got to school early. At school, I talked to people, and I somehow started going nuts with puns, shoehorning everybody's names into puns (or, at least, I tried. I got most people though.). Throughout Role Call, which was first, I tried to think of a pun to go with Victor's last name (he said I couldn't do it. I got into the mindset that there had to be one, and I was going to find it.). We then had Assembly, and I told Victor and Ebony (who was with him, of course) what I had come up with, which was not something to write home about, but acceptable. In the Assembly itself, we had one guy who finally explained the signs that were up around the school about calling something 'gay' (it's hard to really explain, but he was pretty much saying that calling something 'gay' was wrong, comparing it to calling someone Asian or Christian, and to pick something else, which I fully agree with.). Most people I talked to were all behind him, some people were against him, and at least one person entirely missed the point, calling him 'gay.' Oy vey.
Period 1 was Geography, where we watched more of that 'Man vs. Wild' thing, with the guy this time going to Belize, where he told viewers to stay clear of a boa constrictor; and then promptly attacking it. I mean, he did kill it (and eat it), but if you don't get to kill it, then you could be in a bit of a fix. He also ate spider-scorpions (a sort of cross between the two, found in a cave. I forget the actual name, though.), and went after a rat. Period 2 was Science, in which we finished the experiment on pendulums (in the plural, I refer you to yesterday's post.). I think we mostly got an accelerator due to gravity of about 9.6, which is pretty damn close for a Year 10 experiment, I must say. Recess was me up at the office trying to pay for raffle tickets and return unsold ones, which took up a bit and I didn't get finished.
Period 3 was Ag, and we all went down to the farm to check our potatoes. We mostly spent the period weeding and mulching, and I of course listened to my iPod. The various groups and classes are all having different levels of successes with weeds, with some being almost free of them, and some being packed so close to the potato plants that you can't see the beds properly and pulling them out would be a significant hassle. It's pretty surprising (we are going pretty well, by the way.). Period 4 was PE, and we got our exams back. It seems a lot of people messed up, with the highest mark I saw being something like 85%. I actually got second in the class, which I'm pretty satisfied with (I really want to mention something here, although it's a little braggy, but here goes. I have had at least 4 top two results in exams in my class, not counting the Trial SCs that don't count, so to speak, with those being Commerce, Drama, Science and PE. I don't want to seem like I'm showing off, but that's damn good, if I do say so myself.). Lunch was the raffle tickets, doing a brief 'Bohemian Rhapsody' thing with Victor (at least four people in the group know a lot of the words to it: John, Ebony, Victor and me.), and talking about a burn that Ian did to Matt. I wasn't there, but I was told what happened by separate people, and suffice to say that it was the most epic burn I have ever heard, with little exaggeration. And coming from Ian... anyway.
Period 5 was Maths, and we were going to do probability before I brought up my School Certificate last question (the one about the sum of the cubes.). Rawson then got the class and him to work it out mathematically, which I didn't do in the exam. And for good reason, as it took quite a bit of the class (I got it right, by the way. Oh, yeah.). You have to work it out by mathematical induction (I'm not entirely sure what it is, but the Wikipedia article explains it pretty well.). Period 6 was Drama, and we had a pretty fun, sort of bludgy lesson wherein we talked about the play we are doing in a few weeks, the Michael Jackson tribute one. At one point, though, in the midst of discussing a lot of random stuff, Kolodziej came out with 'I wish there were more kid like Alex.' To which I responded with an confused and surprised look. It was jut something to do with doing well in class and doing what Kolodziej says, but still, it threw me quite a bit. We also talked about the Britney Spears concert, which I'm going to on Monday in place of camp (jees, I can't wait. It's gonna be great.). When I got home, I blogged some, and then we as a family watched a movie, which was 'The Boat That Rocked.' It was a pretty good movie; I sure enjoyed it.
That was my Friday. I'll really try to get back up when it comes to the ways of the on time posting, but we'll have to see. I'm just lucky my memory has improved slightly and I can remember in some detail about what I did on the days. Anyway.
So ends a week of exams,

A Great Day For Freedom
It's a Pink Floyd song. I use it in context for the fact that we are finally free of exams. That out of the way? OK. Soon, I shall get back up and I will be able to post earlier. This post, however, this post is late. ...I'm running out of things to say in this first paragraph. You know what, let's just skip to what I actually did in the day, shall we?
Period 1 was Maths, which was rather strange, as no teacher showed up to two classes. So our class went into A2's class (Eric's, Kevin's and Shafi's), and did completely random things. How random? Does Tri putting 'Pokemon Evolution' up on the whiteboard and then drawing pictures of the Geodude evolutionary line count? (The answer is yes.). Eventually, though, their teacher got to class, and we went to a spare room that was open next door, and did even more random things, like pretend to shoot things with a broken chair leg and draw the hangman evolutionary line (as in, every time you get a letter wrong, you add something to the hangman.). And then added puns, such as 'Quit while you're a head' to one with just a head, and 'Need a hand?' to one with only one arm (most of that was me. I love puns.). Faulds did get to the class in time, though, and we got our marks back. I got 74/80, which is pretty good. Mango got a bit less. Only because he ran out of time, though. I originally got 73, but they didn't mark a question correctly. Then, it was Drama, and Kolodziej officially gave out the marks. 3 other people got 40/40 (besides me. I'm sorry, I just enjoy mentioning that.), including Cam. We exchanged a high five at that point, with good cause, I believe. We also did some more of the plays, and prepared for a new one that we will do on Monday. Soon, anyway. At Recess, Cam and I went to the food tech rooms, as Eric and Shafi had made too much beef stroganoff in class. Yes, their minor is cooking. One time, they made chocolate brownies. I had much beef strog. Lots of noodles. I love to eat.
Period 3 was Commerce, and Kearney was away. So we had a sub, who I think was Spies. For the class, I pretty much just read, though I did do some questions from the textbook. I also talked to people about electives, and I came across something rather freaky. Jenny Tran (the one in my Commerce class) has the same electives as me: Physics, Chemistry, Economics, Legal Studies, Advanced English and Maths offline. It was rather strange. Period 4 was Science, and Robson was finally back. In the class, we talked about the difference between mass and weight, and other stuff pertaining to gravity. It was pretty interesting, and I learnt stuff I didn't know. Lunch was talking, as usual.
Period 5 was English, and we got back the multiple choice and short answer questions for the Trial School Certificate. I got 50/60, and I think I did well. There were a few questions that were, let's say, contentious, as most of the class had one answer for a multiple choice (even Lana), and the real answer was something else entirely. It didn't make all that much sense. It was strange. Anyway. I'm sure there will be questions like that in the actual School Certificate, so, might as well get used to it, I suppose. Period 6 was History, which was actually Geography, as we have apparently fell behind. All the classes have. I'm not entirely sure how, considering we're supposed to have the same amount of History and Geography lessons (and, indeed, it is equal in the cycle), but we did. When the bell went, we went to the local shops, where I saw Jessie at the shops. Long story short, she did exactly what she did last time. See this post for details; I've also put it in labels. Anyway. I then went home, and blogged and played some Battlefield Heroes.
Comments now, two from presumably the same person, who I'm going to guess is Shafi:
*Anon: You can be a part, I've got nothing against it. The more the merrier! And your story seems a bit similar to mine. Maybe. I think the comment about 'The Five Greatest Warriors' goes without saying.
*Anon: Sorry Shafi, Lana asked first. You can read it after her though.
And that was my day. I'd apologise about the late post, but I'd be doing it for a while. Just appreciate I'm trying and move on. I'm thinking that when I get back to schedule, I'll do a list. But not until then (so, not for a while, at this rate). Anyway.
Bring on the weekend,

Yearlies '09: Mathematics and English
Yes, they've put arguably the two biggest exams of the year that aren't for the School Certificate (Maths and English being two of the most important subjects, and the yearly being big for both of these. Of course, if you do IPT, you've done your biggest exam. But I'm not, so I haven't. Anyway.) on the same day. Is this intelligent? I don't think so. So, without further ado, to my day, as I must post quickly. I'll explain next post.
I was driven to school, as I had an exam on the first period, and I went to borrow a book from the library. When school actually sounded, we went to our exam, but apparently, we had to have Assembly, instead of before Recess. I'm not entirely sure why, but we ran with it. In the actual assembly, the microphones didn't work (there was a blackout), and at one point we were left for 15 minutes as all the teachers (I mean, every single one there) went to go and get Norris, who wasn't there. The word 'disorganised' comes to mind. We did eventually get around to doing the Maths exam, and I went for almost the whole time allotted. I went over my work, and I think I did pretty well. Some people actually didn't finish (even Mango didn't!), so I'm thankful I did. All in all, I think that exam was, if not easy, then at least not mind-bogglingly hard. Recess was discussing the exam.
Period 3 was Drama, and in that we had a sub, as Kolodziej was evidently not here. Our sub was Hackett, who was good enough to let us study for our English exam, something which was much needed and much appreciated. So, I checked over that, and thought up a few techniques for the extended response. Period 4 was Commerce, and Kearney, like Hackett, knew there was an English exam, and he also let us study. I mean, it is the English exam, and teachers seem to realise that you really have to study for that. Which is good, because I don't want to completely stuff it like the half-yearly (I really should stop mentioning that.). Lunch was doing some last minute reading up on my texts, as well as talking about jokes and Battlefield Heroes, simultaneously at some points (as in, jokes about BFH. Very rarely were they funny.). And, then the bell went.
I got to the English exam room with a sense of major worry. I was nervous about the exam, and I wanted a good mark to make up for... well, you know. I went through the comprehension in about 25 minutes. It wasn't particularly difficult, as the texts weren't ambiguous like that bloody 'Walter' story from the half-yearly (it just keeps coming up in conversation, I'm afraid.). Soon, I got to the extended response, and after looking through the question, I started to write. And write. So you can imagine my reaction when there's only 20 or so minutes left of the exam, I've done only four and a half out of eleven paragraphs, and I've already used up half of the allotted space for writing. I started to panic, and thus began to write like there was no tomorrow. I finished with about three minutes left; and then the bell rang. And with having to catch the train and everything, I had really no choice. I quickly went over the stuff I'd written, and said to Wilson (who was taking us for the exam) that I had to dash. So I handed in the exam and ran for dear life.
I thankfully got to the station in time for the station, triumphant if a little out of breath, and I got home soon. When I did get home, I played some Battlefield Heroes for a while (I was messing around with abilities, but once I got it down, I was going pretty well), and then Mum and Dad called me in to watch another episode of FlashForward. It's going pretty well; I advise you to watch it. And for the rest of the night, I pretty much just watched TV, and blogged a bit.
And that was my Friday. Before you say anything, I know, this is very late (it's bloody Sunday afternoon), but that's for reasons that were not under my control. So I'll try to get back up to schedule as quick as I can. But with the Ag exam... let's just say I won't make any promises.

Extra Extra! Exam!
You see? The 'Ex's are all there and the front of all the words! Extra as in newspaper... Ah, who am I kidding. It ain't the greatest of titles. Can't really think of anything, I'm afraid. Anyway. Yes, I had an exam today, which was about the thing that stands out of all that I did today. So, yeah. Let's have a look at my day, shall we, because this opening paragraph is getting hard to write.
Period 1 was Science, in which Bruce was back. So what we did was go through the textbook, as I think Robson is back on Monday and we will be going back onto motion. However, what actually happened was that the class studied for the exam that was next period (you know the Geography assignment? There were three parts of it. The first two made up the section of the assignment that I've been complaining about, the third we do in class. And now you know the rest of the story.). So after I'd gone through my work, I just read. I like to read, you know! Period 2 was Geography, in which we got the exam question, and did this exam. It was on, to memory, the advantages and disadvantages of aid and issues on social justice. I got about three and a half pages in 35 minutes. I wrote like crazy, and I think I did pretty well. Though we'll just have to see how I went; markers can be fickle (possibly conclusive example: English staff.). It was then Assembly, and I got a High Distinction for the Chemistry Comp. Norris also talked about Johnny, and he said that he turned himself in after Assembly on Friday (considering how everybody was pointing at him and calling his name, I reckon he would have been caught anyway, probably within a few days). And here's the thing: he got rewarded for it. Seriously, Norris just went on about how Johnny (he didn't mention names, though) set a good example for the school. It seemed like he came out well after locking the gate. Oy vey.
Recess was cards, as well as trying to dodge water balloons that the Year 12s were throwing for no particular reason, at least none that was clear to us. Period 3 was English, in which we went back to the computer rooms and had a more of a go at the mock-up of the School Certificate. However, I was slow and didn't get a computer, so I looked at Hewie's one, and also fleshed out some of the character traits and plot and such of the book I'm writing. It's slowly coming along. Very slowly. Next was Maths, where we had another sub. In that, I flicked through a sheet that we got, mentally answered some questions, then read. Hey, it is almost the end of term, after all. Lunch was the usual 13.
Period 5 was Drama, and I had brought in the DVD of 'Fawlty Towers,' ready to give it to Mr Kolodziej so the class could enjoy a good laugh. Or at least, that was the plan. Murphy's Law (Wikipedia knows, it always knows...) kicked in, and Kolodziej was away. Instead, we had a sub who couldn't open the door. When we did, the DVD player was locked inside a cupboard, and she didn't have the key. So we couldn't watch it. Bloody hell. Instead, I talked to Cam for a while, and later, Ebony joined in our conversation as well. Apparently we were having the most interesting talk in the classroom, and that's saying something. Period 6 was Commerce, in which we went up to the library to do some work on our Commerce assignment. However, considering I'd already done mine, I just mucked around on the computer for a period. It's a good way to end a Friday. And after I got home, I did some chores, and then played Battlefield Heroes for a while, getting my soldier to Level 5. But I didn't get to post, so here I am.
That was Friday, as it is and was. OK, trying to think of different ways to do this closing paragraph. Yeah. Anyway. We must rejoice, for this post is almost on time (comparative to the last many posts). So, rejoice. Tomorrow's post will be more than somewhat footy-centric (it's a word now), as it's the AFL Grand Final: St Kilda vs. Geelong. Personally, I'm going for the Cats.
An end to a tiring week,

Bright Bludgy Days
I am referring, of course, to a Tom Lehrer song called 'Bright College Days.' Because, you know, I couldn't think of anything else. Anyway. I did have a big bludge today, which is a good way to end a week full of working on assignments like there's no bloody tomorrow. So, to my day, because this post is late as it is.
Period 1 was Geography, in which we watched a video (you reckon that our school would start to get some DVDs soon. I mean, there are some DVDs, but videos far outweigh them.). It was on corruption in Africa, though I forget the actual country. I do know that they spoke both Swahili and English there though, and so after checking the Wikipedia page for Swahili, as well as some other Googling, I'm pretty sure it was Kenya. But don't quote me. Period 2 was Science, in which I did my presentation on juvenile diabetes. I used the chalkboard as well as my sheet, and I think it came off pretty well, though a fair bit of it was impromptu. Next was Assembly, in which we talked about the gate incident (but what would the media call it. They couldn't name it after Watergate, as they love to do: Gategate just sounds retarded.). When they mentioned it, it seemed like everybody turned to look at Johnny, and everybody kept saying 'Johnny! Johnny!' Recess was cards.
Period 3 was Ag, in which we started a new topic: farm business management. It's about as exciting as it sounds. And if you think that that sounds exciting, then there is something definitely wrong with you. Period 4 was PE, in which something strange happened. Before class, Wilson got us to fix up our uniforms (like, the top buttons. Ouch.). And it gradually got bigger and bigger, until we got to the end of the class and Wilson was still lecturing us about uniforms. Bloody hell. We didn't do any work, though. Lunch was the usual.
Period 5 was Maths, in which we did yet more trigonometry. It wasn't incredibly difficult, but it wasn't a walk in the park either. There were some problems that were really fascinating, and that carried on to the next period, Drama. In that, I worked a bit on the maths, but it turned to more matters of drama. We did our Oedipus modernisation, and I played a fortune teller (who rhymed), a police officer and a doctor. My favourite was the doctor. I actually did impromptu for most of my lines, but they worked. I thought they were good. Anyway. After my day at school, I went home, and for the rest of the night I pretty much got on my computer, watched the Saints-Dogs game (the Saints were lucky, I think. I wasn't going for them.), and played some Battlefield Heroes.
And that was my day. Sorry about the late post; blame society and weekend procrastination. Also, expect more late posts, though I could pull ahead and get back on schedule. It may not be likely, but it can happen.
Weekend; yes!,

There Will Be Bludge
That, of course, being a reference to the movie, 'There Will Be Blood,' which I have never actually seen, though I am an avid fan of that classic quote by some guy somewhere in the movie: I drink your milkshake! (Allow Youtube to explain. Or at least show you.) Anyway. What I mean is that most of today was a big bludge. So let us adjourn to my day, before this post gets any later.
Period 1 was Science, in which we watched a video on pathogens. Which was extremely old, and very boring. But we didn't do any work, and that's what matters. Period 2 was Computer Maths, which was that most special of Computer Maths lessons: when we are on Geometer's Sketchpad, and we are supposed to muck around on it to prove some point about sine waves. I don't know what it was, or what we were supposed to prove. But it was fun. I also tried to make an ellipse on it, unsuccessfully. Ah well. Then it was Assembly, in which people did some creative arts presentations, for no apparent reason other than they can. Cam played a song, but there were two stand-outs. One guy beatboxed, really well; and another guy did this really complicated version of the robot (the dance). There's really no better way to explain it than: wow.
Recess was 31, since Andy is on an excursion. Periods 3 and 4 were double Ag, in which we went down to the farms to finally plant our potatoes. I spent the majority of the period hoeing the last bits, and carrying hay up and down. I spent quite a while working, and we got most of our work done. I listened to my iPod a fair bit. However, towards the end, it became evident that we were missing two hand trowels. So we stayed behind a whole 10 to 15 minutes; and we didn't even find them. Bloody hell. I then raced back to the classroom, only to find that the door was locked. However, I hit upon an idea, and tried the adjoining room, which was unlocked. I ran through that into the classroom, got my bag, ran back through the other room, and I was free. Lunch was cards.
Period 5 was English, in which we started watching a video (yes, another one). This one is the movie 'Shine,' which seems like a pretty good movie. I went to Wikipedia to check up on a lot of the details later, of course. It was a big bludge, even if we did have to take notes. Period 6 was Geography, in which we went to the computer rooms yet again. The whole Geography assignment is coming together, although it's a lot of work. I will better be able to focus on it as the deadline nears. And it will be coming closer very soon. Oy vey. It's getting annoying. When I got home, I blogged, and I also played Battlefield Heroes with John for a while, while going on Skype. I must have played for hours, improving my kill to death ratio, I'm sure. Around 10, though, I had to go to bed.
And that was my day. Very sorry for the late post and the short post, but I didn't post on Friday, and, well, if you read Saturday's post, then you will understand, for sure. Anyway. Soon I'll get back to schedule.
Thank god for Fridays,

Legacy Day '09
Another day, another title which is fairly easy to write. For you see, today was Legacy Day. Wikipedia doesn't seem to know what it is, so the official website may be found here. Now, with the title out of the way, I can get straight to my day, which was mostly a big bludge. Which was pretty good for a Friday, although it is a late post. Ah well.
Before school, I put on my Legacy Day badge and wristband that I got from Dad. Period 1 was Maths, in which I forgot my textbook. So Mango and I showed me this game, where you start with 31 points, and can take away 1-5 points every turn. The person that takes away the last point loses. However, there was a trick, which I found out: if you go second, you just choose the number that, when added with the one that the first player picked, makes 6. (If you're first, though, you're doomed. Sorry.) Period 2 was Drama, which started off as doing some maths thing I was trying to work out (nerd, remember), but then became a conversation about Cam's PA system in his house and things about how I'm not a computer nerd if I haven't pulled my computer apart yet to get to know things that I can find out by not dismantling my laptop. Hmm. Next was Assembly, in which I discovered something tragic: the badge was gone. It had fallen off my jacket and was now nowhere to be seen. So after Assembly, I went through the Drama room, the Maths room, and the path I took between the two. But it was not to be found. So I played some cards.
Period 3 was Commerce, wherein we went to the computer labs to check the effects of unemployment. We also had a substitute, who, although well-meaning, didn't know what we were doing. So I went to Wikipedia, started off at the page for unemployment, and well, this happened (I love than comic, both specifically and a whole). I also found my badge, while absent-mindedly trawling through my pockets. What presumably happened was that the badge fell off my jacket into the jacket pocket. Quite lucky, there. Period 4 was Science, in which we analysed the experiment with the ticker-timer from yesterday. My value for the acceleration due to gravity: 9.7 m/s². Now that is amazingly close to the actual value, and in fact I was the closest in the class. Robson also told me that Pitt had something to show me in the Science staffroom. However, come lunchtime, after handing in that assignment I was doing, when I went to the Science staffroom, Pitt was nowhere to be found. Turns out he wasn't there. So I played 13 with the guys instead.
Period 5 was English, in which we went through the book we have, 'Runner,' to find evidence that the protagonist, Charlie, was the Odd One Out. Which essentially came down to the fact that things happened to him that didn't happen to other people. You know, like essentially every fiction novel in existence. Yeah. In the last period for the week, we went down to the Hall, where there were 4 veterans from the Korean War, there for commemoration of Legacy Day (it's not really celebrating if it's for the families of those killed in action). 3 classes were there (mine, Eric's and Cameron's; I don't know the actual names for the last two), and we heard their stories from back then. Some people didn't find it too interesting; I did. Call me crazy, but I find those types of things interesting. When I got home, I blogged a bit, and then friends came over. Specifically, Michael and Cleveland (they're both footy friends). They watched EJ play 'God of War,' so I played some Battlefield Heroes. After they left, I did some more blogging, then went to do some more BFH. I also watched the first AFL final: Crows-Bombers, which ended with Essendon thankfully being on the ass end of an ass-kicking, by something like 90 points. But I didn't get to finish the post, so here I am.
And that was my day. The next few days will be somewhat eventful, with my brother's Grand Final on Saturday and Father's Day on Sunday, which makes for longer posts. However, as these may be running into the night, the posts may be late. Or, at least, I'll have an excuse to post late. Both, really.

A Totally Awesome Friday
Yes, I could spend 15 minutes on a title, trying to come up with some clever play on words and end up doing yet another alliterative title and complaining about it. Or, alternatively, I could just put it right out there and say exactly what I thought of today: totally awesome. That's not to say today was perfect, though: There was some bad things, which I will eventually get to. Anyway, let's get to my Friday.
Before school, I got into my mufti clothes (yeah, it's another mufti day), and set off. Period 1 was English, in which Hancock got back (though where he went is still a mystery), and we talked about the work from yesterday. He explained what the cartoons from yesterday meant (though the one nobody could figure out only sorta makes sense), and we also looked at other ones. Period 2 was Maths, which was yet more work on trigonometry, only this time applying it to circles instead of triangles. Apparently we are now supposed to completely disregard everything we know about trigonometry and triangles. Anyway. It was then Assembly, which was way, way too long. Although I did get a High Distinction award for the Science comp, so there's that. Recess was 31.
Period 3 was Drama. The room was full of stuff for the Country fair tomorrow, so we just went to the grassy bit outside the hall, near the basketball courts, and read from that book with Greek plays in it again. The play is actually starting to get more dramatic, although it's sort of let down as there is a preface to the play we're reading that gives away the whole plot. Oops. Period 4 was Commerce, in which we talked about unemployment and all the problems that can come with it, such as depression and loss of income (Captain Obvious to the rescue!). Some seniors also came in to show the girls ideas for new school dresses. We got out of work. Everybody wins. Lunch was 31.
Periods 5 and 6 were PE, and we were playing a class-wide game of Ultimate (the frisbee game. Or, rather, flying disc. Whatever.). And I was one of the most, let's say, avid players, but fairly uncoordinated. I mean, I couldn't get to the frisbee, and I was having major trouble catching and defending. This all came to a head (rather literally, in fact) when I went for the frisbee. I looked up, and saw where it would come down, so I put my head down and sprinted as fast as I could. I looked up at the exact wrong time. *thud!* I suddenly felt an inordinate amount of pain in my nose, where most of the impact went, and in my mouth, where my braces had been pushed against my lips and I had bitten my tongue. I had run into somebody's side at full pelt. That somebody was possibly the worst person I could have run into: none other than Ebony. She had to go off the field, whereas I staggered around the field in a partial daze. When I had recovered, I gingerly started getting back into play. And later, I went for it again. I ran into Jordan. Standing up, both of us, but my legs were spread and his weren't. I was rammed where no boy likes to be rammed. But it all paid off maybe 10 minutes later, as I was the first person to score, though I fell over while doing it. By the end of the period, I was tired as all hell.
But it really paid off later. We were up at the shops, and I came across an old friend of mine, Jessie. And we talked for a bit, but she had to be off at around 3:30. I was considering not putting this next bit in my blog, on account of it may be considered bragging or lame or whatever. But you know what? It's my blog, and I am putting this in here. She is apparently a very affectionate person, and it seems she likes to kiss people goodbye (on the cheek). She was saying goodbye to me. Don't take a genius to work out what happened. I did it as well. First time that's happened too. I am very pleased with myself. When I got home, I played Battlefield Heroes with John over Skype for many hours, and as such I didn't get to blog. So here I am.
To comments, now, 9 from I'm guessing one person. Feel free to correct me though.
*Shafi (x9): LOL. You clicked the link. That was epic. In answer to your other questions: The book is on hiatus, I think you were the Anonymous Aeroplane, I'm not going to do the talent quest, and long posts are not boring.
And that was my day. I know, I know, after finally getting back on schedule, I toss up a late post. So I wanted a day off. Ah well. My blog, my rules. And I get to break them. Anyway. Expect a fairly long post tomorrow: It's the HAHS Country Fair, so it will be a longer post than if I spent the day just doing nothing at home all day.
I kissed a girl, and I liked it,

Tests and Tennis
Because my day involved a test, and a game of tennis. Titling problems, naturally. Anyway. It was a pretty good today, as it involved no real work at all. Barring the aforementioned test, of course, but that wasn't too hard. Anyway. To my day.
Period 1 was Science, in which we talked about cloning, and all about the pros and cons of it. I personally (and I'm not afraid to say what I think here) believe whole-heartedly in therapeutic cloning, also known as stem cell research, although I'm a little iffy on cloning for actual reproduction. I'm sort of like that with science versus religious ethics, what with my atheism. There are many examples, but I won't name them all here. Anyway. Period 2 was Geography, in which we were just doing work from the textbook. There was no Assembly today, as it was apparently "postponed" (read: until next Friday). So we just played 13. Like you'd expect we would.
Period 3 was English. In that we finished off the speeches that had yet to be done in our class: all three of them. After that, we just talked about the book we were given for our new topic; which, thank god, was not 'Displaced Person.' I don't remember the title of the book, but it looked pretty good. Period 4 was Maths, in which I did a test, along with Mango and Lana, and everyone who was at AIMO. Also Tri, who was evidently away. We weren't allowed to do the test in the class, for obvious reasons. So we went outside, and did the test there. I borrowed Ebony's calculator, as it seems mine isn't coming back any time soon. We were out in the sun, so I used my method which always gets strange stares: use an umbrella to keep the sun off. The majority of people think it's stupid; I say it works well. And it does. Lunch was 13, as well as 5 card draw poker for no particular reason.
Period 5 was Drama, in which we went down to the farm to do the filming for our advertisement, which is, actually, worth something. My bad there. We filmed such riveting things as a tractor and Shane and Ebony skipping up and down on logs. One of my favourites: 'Who will save us? That random nerd?' Yes, that meant me. When we got back, we were talking about it, and how Oscar had done a front roll. So I said to Cam, half to myself: 'I reckon I could do that.' He made me do it. My hapkido finally counted for something as I did, from a standing start, a forward roll. But then Shane made me do it again, as he glanced in that direction. And then more people saw me. So I kept doing them. I did about 5 in total, and people were very impressed. I mean, you wouldn't expect me to do those. Anyway. Period 6 was Commerce, which was just stock-standard textbook work.
After school, Dad surprised us (or rather me) with a game of tennis, with an incentive: we win, and he does the folding. We lose, and we do it. He lost. I could go on about how we won, but I won't. Let's just say that he was mistaken when he thought he would beat us (me and EJ) in a one on two game. When I got home, I promptly went onto Battlefield Heroes, where I promptly whiled away the time shooting, and doing surprisingly well. I mean, I got to Level 10, and completed a whole heap of missions. I wasn't incredible of course, but I'm improving. I also blogged, but about Thursday. So here I am.
And that was my Friday. The late post you see is a result of weekend post procrastination, and can be blamed on society. Can be, and should. I'll still say sorry anyway. Sorry. Also, no comments, as it seems people have stopped. Easy come, easy go, I suppose.
No assignments for the weekend, thank god,

I mean, I got to Level 10, and completed a whole heap of missions. I wasn't incredible of course, but I'm improving. I also blogged, but about Thursday. So here I am.
And that was my Friday. The late post you see is a result of weekend post procrastination, and can be blamed on society. Can be, and should. I'll still say sorry anyway. Sorry. Also, no comments, as it seems people have stopped. Easy come, easy go, I suppose.
No assignments for the weekend, thank god,

A Glorious Friday
And I'm not just saying that because it was Friday (although that is a large contributor). I'm saying that because it was just a great day. No ifs, ands or buts about it. There was mufti, no assembly, an utter bludge in Period 4... well, I'm getting ahead of myself. Let's start from the top, shall we?
It was Jeans for Genes today at our school, and I leapt at the opportunity to wear that great shirt: The Periodic Table shirt. Sure, it's short sleeve, but I wore a jacket. Being cold shall not get in the way of science! Period 1 was Geography, in which we did some work from the textbook, and paid for the mufti day. I swear, mufti days have got to be one of the easiest ways for schools to raise money: they're not selling anything, but they're still making money. Period 2 was Science, in which I showed Robson my shirt, and the reaction is about what you'd expect (he actually clapped). What we did for actual work was summing up what we'd done over the past few weeks.
There was no assembly for some reason today, but I'm not complaining. I ended up playing 13 for 45 minutes, and paying for the walkathon I did a while back. Period 3 was Ag, in which I caught up on work I missed from the Chemistry comp. Although it turns out that people didn't do much work at all when I was gone, so I didn't miss much. I also got told fantastic news: The Ag assignment has been postponed to Thursday. This is great, as it means that I don't have to be so rush-rush on the weekends. I'll still try to get it done by Monday, of course, if only so I can get it done with. But still. It's very good. Period 4 was PE, or at least it would have been if Wilson had ever shown up. But he didn't, so all I really did was read and listen to my iPod. An absolute bludge, really.
Lunch was more 13, although the first half was spent traipsing around the school, looking for my cards. I found them in my bag. Yeah. Period 5 was Maths, in which we did some more revision. I also got an invitation to the Australian Intermediate Mathematics Olympiad, which is a 4 hour test with 10 questions. A four-hour test. With 10 questions. Yes, they are mindbogglingly difficult. I spent about half the period just working on one of them. I eventually figured it out, but it involved a lot of dead ends. Period 6 was Drama, in which we did some work on advertising. Usually, a period like that would be forgettable, but not this one. At one point, the class was talking, and Kolodziej cracked it at Jayson, Shane and Kale. I don't think he exploded at them for any reason in particular, he just did. He told them to split up, and Shane ended up sitting with Cameron and me, and Jayson by himself. But that wasn't. Jayson, being incredibly determined, started arguing with Kolodziej, and, to top it off, dared Kolodziej to send him out of the class. Kolodziej called his bluff, and so Jayson walked out. Just left. He came back with 10 minutes left, after he allegedly tried to get a head teacher (I don't know who), who ended up not being there.
After school, we did some chores, and we also went out to Club Italia with Shay and her family for dinner. I think it was my first actual formal dinner, and it was hard. Mainly because the menu was in Italian. I ordered the risotto, though after I tasted the gnocchi in cheese sauce, I probably should have had that. It was delicious. Incredibly so. There were many Scenes from an Italian Restaurant today (you see, that was a joke. Laugh.), and we got home around 7:45. I was watching the Blues-Cats game and playing Battlefield Heroes by 8. Both things turned out very well: Carlton took Geelong down by 35 points, and I ended up making it to Level 8, almost Level 9. Soon my Gunner (SuicideBait) will overtake my Commando (RigelK), and I will enjoy that very much. I didn't get to blog, though, so here I am.
And that was my day, my very very good day. And if you disagree that it was not, in fact, a good day, I suggest you a) look back on all that I've said; and b) stop telling me how to live my life and how I feel about it. Curse you, hypothetical situation guy! Anyway. Sorry about the later post. At least it isn't rushed.

Ah, Fridays
I forgot how good they were. It's just so refreshing how you can be doing a week of work, and suddenly you're sitting back on your laptop watching the TV until past 10 at night. I missed them, and now they're back. Also, title problems ensue. I'll get it eventually. Hopefully
Period 1 was Science, in which we watched more of the video about DNA, and answered more of the questions. A bit of a bludge, really. In the actual video, it turns out (well, not turns out, it happened over 50 years ago. But still. Bear with me here.) that Rosalind Franklin got no recognition for working out that DNA was a double helix using X-ray diffraction until 25 years after she did, and then died of cancer because of the X-rays. Sometimes life sucks, hey? Next was Computer Maths, in which we tried to hide in Room 10 again. I don't know how successful we were, though we definitely weren't as successful as last time. The actual period was just doing some work on Geometer's Sketchpad (and having it fail repeatedly) about working out geometrical proofs. It was then assembly, which was your standard 'we're only here because it's in the timetable.' Recess was 13.
Periods 3 and 4 were double Ag, which was going down to one of the paddocks so that people could ride tractors and ready the ground for potato planting. So that was more than a bit boring, or it would have been if I had not gotten into a conversation about coding (warning: these next sentences may contain nerdiness. Although, in my blog, what else do you expect?). It all started off with me getting a supposed uncrackable code from Matt. I quickly deduced it was monoalphabetic (and therefore fairly straight-forward to crack), and I started telling Ebony what that was (the most surprising thing is that she was interested). From that we got into polyalphabetic coding, and the Vigenere Square. So I explained that to her, and we got into an argument into if it can be made uncrackable with a shorter base password and a longer plaintext, by recoding the coded message using the password again, but in a different way (explaining it would take a long, long time). Ebony said it that it was uncrackable, I said it was just making the password longer (making it harder to crack, but not theoretically uncrackable). We ended up agreeing to disagree, and ended up just asking each other questions. Which was arguably more interesting.
Lunch was lining up to pay for one of those things like Cheap Thrills (*shudders*), and afterwards, more coding (yes, I know! No 13! For shame...). Period 5 was English, in which we talked about literary merit, as essentially nobody but the English staff knows what it means. It sort of makes sense, but people are still confused. As am I, to a degree. Period 6 was History, which was helping people out with the speech. Clarifying things for other people helps to clarify things for yourself as well, I've noticed. So after school, I did a bit of work on my assignment, and then around 7, I went in to watch the Blues-Roos game (lol, Blues-Roos). I also played Battlefield Heroes while doing it. I worked out more of my Gunner ability and strategy, and got up to Level 6. The actual footy game was a really close one: Carlton ended up winning by 10, although North Melbourne made it a real contest. I went to bed around 11.
And that was my day. Sorry about the later post, this type of thing happens on the weekends. I can procrastinate on weekends; it's my blog after all. I can do what I want, can't I? (Yes. the answer is yes.).
No comments again... Ah well,

Say Goodbye to Term 2
Say goodbye, my baby! (Quote: 'Say Goodbye to Hollywood' by Billy Joel.) My point being here is that today is the end of term, and the start of the holidays. Rejoice, for the holidays have arrived! And it was a relieving end to the term, as we did minimal work, and just went random for the majority of the day. So, to my Friday.
Period 1 was Maths (I'm going to say the names of the periods, if only for some clarity), and as the majority of the class were here as the majority of the class are nerds, we actually did some work. We did selected questions from the HSC, which were surprisingly easy. My guess is that Faulds picked easy ones for a Year 10 class. But it was the only real work we did all day. Next was Drama, which was a prac, of course. Drama pracs are always, always a bludge (if you define bludge as doing no work; they aren't always good. That spatial awareness class wasn't the best.), and today was no exception. We did a game in which we were given a setting and a quote, and we had to work that quote in somehow. I went in twice. The first time I was a beatboxer in a community swimming pool (this was Cameron's idea, of course), and the second time I was a zombie. Not much talent needed, or in the case of the beatboxer, used. Recess was 13, as well as listening to stuff from John's iPod over his speakers.
Period 3 was Commerce, in which we did a quiz for chocolate. Kearney seems to like doing that at the end of term (he did it last time too). Our team won, so we got a lot of Pods (mmm, chocolate...). Period 4 was supposed to be Science, but as there were something like 8 people from our class here, we got split amongst the other classes. Ebony and I both went to 10I. I knew that Ebony would know what class Victor is in, and campaign for that. And I knew that there were more of our group in the class Victor is in. So I followed Ebony. 10I has Victor, Eric and Kevin in it, so I think I did pretty well. In the class itself, we did some visual brain teasers (eg: 'timing ti ming' was split-second timing) and a test of the longest word we can make out of 'Hurlstone Agricultural' (I won, with 'horticultural'). We also made a lot of paper aeroplanes and flew them across the room. Even the teacher got in on it. In Lunch, we flew some of the paper aeroplanes (breaking one and stranding two on a roof), and then we went to play 13, where we listened to some songs from my iPod (such as 'Any Means Necessary' and 'The Final Countdown'). Victor also played the best hand I have ever seen: A dragon with the 3 of spades. That's incredible.
Period 5 was Geography, in which Carter gave us a sheet about 'ecological sustainability.' So, I, being a smartass, decided to go completely stupid with it, and wrote a short essay about how the squirrels would become evil. One of the lines was, and I quote, 'the squirrels will have to be taken out by laser fire.' That makes a small semblance of sense (try saying that 5 times fast) if you read the whole thing, but really, I'm just being an idiot. Well, why not? Last was Ag, in which we went to put the goats back into their enclosure, as some of them had escaped, and 2 had even gone under one of the demountable classrooms. We could see them through the wire fence, eating weeds like it was perfectly normal. We also packed up the tables and chairs, and so on. Then, at 2:00, the bell went, and I got picked up by my Dad. At home, we tidied a bit, and I also watched the footy on TV. But I didn't get to blog, so here I am.
To comments now, 3 from probably 3 people.
*Ebony: It is intriguing. It was indeed funny to trick Rawson. And there is indeed something wrong with those averages. Of course, you're first; you're always first. I indeed wish I got lucky. Must I explain this?
*Anon: Be a sheep!
*Anon: Probably-Shafi, congratulations. I could be doing a lot better.
And that was my Friday, my super-fantastic, far-out and unreal Friday (to quote Johnson). I will enjoy the holidays, and I hope most people will. It's gonna be great.

Bludging But Working
That may be a bit of a paradox, and you'd be right. I'm out of titles. But what I mean is that I did a lot of bludging today, but it seems like I did a lot of work. Also, I apologise for the late post; things just seemed to keep getting in the way. Details may or may not be a bit lacking. I blame society.
Period 1 was Science, which was doing some actual work on waves. As in, work that actually involves thinking and isn't just rote calculator stuff or basic reading. Back to the daily grind. Period 2 was Geography. That was starting a new topic, as well as getting prepared for a quiz. It's apparently on where countries are in South-East Asia (doable), their capitals (very hard) and where Australia is on a world map (This is Kindergarten work). It was a bit of a weird two periods. Then it was Assembly. That was torture, as Mr Norris invited someone nobody knew for reasons nobody understood (including, I suspect, him). It was, presumably, supposed to be all about the selling of the school farm. The speech (if you can call it that) drifted in and out of lucidity, and it was told by the real life version of Grandpa from The Simpsons. He just went on and on about things in his day, and focused specifically on small, unnecessary details (example: 'It was grey. No, it was brown.'). Assembly, I think, went over time.
Recess was the usual. Period 3 was English, in which one of the Year 10 classes was split up because their teacher wasn't there. And they didn't have a sub. So we got about 6 people, including Shafi, who sat next to me. The period itself was just talking about 'Animal Farm.' Something about most books: read them, don't read into them. George Orwell's books are an exception. Unfortunately, the English staff find the wrong sort of books to get (i.e. bad ones). Anyway. Period 4 was Maths, which was doing a work on logarithms. Well, we were supposed to be doing textbook work, but it's never that simple in A1, where Year 11 work isn't a novelty, it's mandatory (not really, but I wouldn't be surprised).
Lunch was supposed to be doing a bit of work on our Drama assessment, but with Rutherford not here, it sort of just degenerated. I got out of it by pointing behind Ebony, shouting 'Wow, a yard sale!' and running. Hooray for escaping to 13! Period 5 was Drama, which was watching performances. Best one: Tansy's, which used a Blackadder quote, and Bella (should-be Cameron)'s character, who was this brilliant Italian godfather type thing. With the others, though, I felt slightly better about our performance, as nobody forgets their lines (or, at the very least, I don't. When my part consists of pointing a 'gun' at Rutherford and demanding money, shooting Ebony, and running out of one scene screaming, it's very hard to screw up.). Period 6 was Commerce, which was Charades. Obviously, Kearney had time, and a lesson, to kill. I got a chocolate out of the deal (Mmm, chocolate...).
When the bell went, I got home, and did some work. I didn't get to post, though, because our family all watched a movie called 'The Usual Suspects' (Wikipedia link and spoilers contained within). I think the movie was brilliant, and I recommend everybody watch it. There are only a few movies I would recommend everybody watch at least once, and 'The Usual Suspects' is now one of those. Watch it. But I didn't get to post. I will explain why this post is so incredibly late next post.
To comments now, 2 from Ebony. As usual.
*Ebony: June 18 is my unlucky date. And boo for English suckiness (not suckage. Suckiness.). Boo!
*Ebony: I'm lame? I'm lame!? I'm not lame! I'm VERY lame!
Well, that was my day. Expect a few late posts in the next few days; lots to do. I might post at the regular time, but we'll have to see.
I apologise for the really, REALLY, late post,

Thank God For Fridays
Not Thank God It's Friday, but Thank God For Fridays. Also I couldn't think of a better title. And I better post quickly, it's almost time for my next post. Weekend procrastination, people. That and projects. That and AFL. That and Conway's Game of Life. And so on and so forth.
Period 1 (yeah, I'm getting there quickly) was Geography, which was, come to think of, doing bugger all. A complete and utter bludge. I love the periods of complete and utter bludginess. And no doubt spellcheck is going to 'BLUDGINESS ISN'T A WORD! NEITHER IS BLUDGE!' To which I say: shut up spell check. I feel like randomness today. Next was Science, which was just writing some stuff on waves. It ended on awesomeness though, with Robson showing how electricity creates radio waves; using an actual radio. We also had to stand back because it was producing X-rays as well. My nerdy sense is tingling! It's this type of thing that makes me want to be a physicist; the fact that this can do that or produce that or imply that, and showing exactly how it happens and how we can harness it... That is why I like Science. But, I'm way off topic.
Assembly was mostly talking about the Hurlstone farm (save it by doing the walkathon... even if it's in Lunch time) and the social (which I'm going to). That last one had the best promo video ever, and to top it off I found it on Youtube. Enjoy. Recess was the usual. Period 3 was Ag, which for some reason involved me thinking of rapper names for myself. The best I came up with were MC Squared and Cold Fusion. But on further investigation, MC Squared had been taken (goddamn it). So I am now Cold Fusion (yo, this is Cold Fusion, kickin' it old school), and not MC AB as John would like people to think. In short, I want to be this guy. Anyway. Next was PE, which was writing all about stress. What stresses me out most: lack of time. Damn that! I also almost fell out of my chair trying to see something on the board while Wilson was in the way. Rest assured everyone who saw it (Courtney, Ebony, the whole row behind me) laughed, and many (Corinne I know for sure) wished they'd seen it. Funny for others... and I suppose for me. I enjoy a good laugh.
Lunch was the usual, again. Period 5 was Maths, which started off doing no work and quickly degenerated into showing Mango Conway's Game of Life, which surprisingly he enjoyed. I actually did all the steps by hand, which is much, much slower than the computerised version. Still nerdy fun, mind you, but slower. Last was Drama, in which we got stuff done for our assignment. It involved a lot of arguments, but we actually got somewhere. I also turned out to be the robber, so my guess is that I'll have something like 4 lines. So I can't really stuff it up. Hopefully. My Drama journal still needs to get done though. I hate this journal. 4-5 pages is horrifying for 4 periods of work. Note to Kolodziej: Stop. This. Journal. NOW. When I got home, I did a bit of my assessment, played some DS, and ended up watching the Blues-Saints game. We almost won. Almost. But considering Fevola only got two goals, Judd went off with a broken nose in the fourth quarter, Thornton was out, and the Saints are on top of the ladder, I think we did really well to only lose by 9 points. Hell, we almost won. That's great in my book, considering the teams involved. But I didn't get to post, so here I am, posting very, very late.
Comments: one from one person. And I was lucky to get that. But it's better than none.
*Anon: Yes, surprisingly, I have finished. I finished around 4 on Saturday. So Sunday will be spent enjoying the free time. Then it's back to work with the Drama project. *sigh*
Well, that was my Friday. Sorry for the late post, things like footy and school got in the way. Explanations to come next post. Which may be another procrastinated post. I blame society.
Damn Drama!,

Hooray for Fridays!
I have been waiting for this day for weeks now. Because... it's Friday after exams! I love Fridays, and with exams finished, it'll be a bludge of a weekend. So, without further ado, to my day. And sorry it's a late post, I had friends over. All to be explained.
It was a mufti day today, and I just wore a long-sleeved shirt, trousers and a jacket. I'm out of funny shirts. Period 1 was Science, which was doing some experiments on magnets and electricity. It was a pretty bludgy period. Period 2 was Geography, in which we did work on some suburb in Sydney. The questions were pretty NTR, but there were a lot of them. Noone really did much, as it was a Friday. It was shaping up to be a good day, except for the constant cold. Next, it was Assembly, on the Pool Lawn. It was one of the best assemblies ever, for largely pointless reasons. These reasons being that Kevin and I got the sun's reflection from our watches, shined them on Ebony's back (who was sitting in front of us, next to you-can-guess-who), and chased them around. I have no idea why, but it was fun. Recess was the usual.
Period 3 was English, which was listening to more Macbeth, as well as doing some work on my conversation from yesterday. At one point, I had to say, after a few minutes of confusion and when the class was silent: 'Ebony, why are you wearing Victor's jumper?' A brief moment of silence. '...No reason.' Hancock smiled, and remained silent, which is unusual. After that humour, it was Maths, which was the non-calculator test. I finished in 15 minutes (it was a fairly simple test), and spent the rest of the time doing doubles on the back page (eg, 1, 2, 4, 8, 16 and so on). At the end of the test, we marked the test. I got 23/25, which is pretty good. Mango and Ihsas got the same thing, though we got different questions wrong. Lunch was talking about the test, and playing more 13. Another quote: Me: 'I got 23 out of 25.' John: 'Bull, you'll never get that.' Kevin: 'His class marked it already.' John: 'Crap.' I enjoy stuff like that.
Period 5 was Drama, which was getting our marks back for the half-yearly. I got 35/40. Cam got 28/40, but on second review, he got 31/40. On third and fourth, 36 and 34. I'm still not sure. But it was something mid-30s. We also listened to Kolodziej, as he was telling anecdotes, who was in a good mood for once. Last was Commerce, which was watching more of the video. We didn't get to finish it, so we'll probably finish it on Tuesday. I was picked up from school, and around 5 Shay and Lachlan came to our house. I didn't blog because, well, it's a bit rude. So I didn't.

*Rosa: Under orders from some shameless advertising, go here for the camp survey. This link is now under official promotion from AB: Advertising Brilliantly.
*Anon: I have absolutely no idea who this is, except that they are in 10M. Besides Ebony (who doesn't comment anymore), I don't know who wrote it. And I'm starting to think that I should take employment under 'providing people with a laugh unintentionally and not doing it intentionally.' Ah well.
Well, I'll finish up. I apologise for the extremely long delay to this post. I'll try not to do it again. I don't expect many comments. These things happen.

Friday Weirdness
Because today was weird. Also, I couldn't think of any better title. My brain switches off at 3 on Friday. Anyway. To my day, which surprisingly involved no pain from the braces. And I know it's a late post; it's only partially my fault. OK, almost all my fault. Shut up.
I got to school around 8:30, and showed everybody my braces (calling Ian, Kevin, Andy and Mango my 'shiny metal brothers.'). Then, when the bell went, I went to my first Period, which was Geo. That was basically doing some work on basic Geo stuff, like aspect and topographic maps. Just some basic stuff. Then, it was Science, which was really bludgy. We just talked about an experiment that the class did yesterday, when I wasn't here. So I just sat and listened. Then, it was double Recess, because Assembly was cancelled, due to rain. So Andy, Kevin, John, Eric and I played 13 for over an hour. It was awesome. I love 13.
Period 3 was Ag, and because about half the class was at cross-country finals or donating blood (one I'm not allowed to do as I'm too young, the other I wouldn't possibly be able to do), we just talked about electives in Years 11 and 12. According to Schippers, Ag is a good way of improving our UAI. We'll have to see. I also did some work on my book, and I'm fleshing out the plot a bit. It's coming along well. Next was PE theory, but since Wilson was at cross-country, we just sat undercover, and I played 13 with Tan, Hewie, Alan and Ebony. That was fun, as I love 13 (wow, déjà vu.). After that was Lunch, which was very eventful. The first half was spent playing 13, as usual. So that's over 2 hours today of 13. I also played the best hand I've ever had (I'm counting my four 2s). First I played 2 3s, and nobody beat it for some reason (probably to keep bombs). Then, I played a double bomb, as I was hoping somebody would play two 2s. Then, I finished with a 10, making it the first time I can remember in which somebody played all their cards in one go. Then, the second, strange part began. For some reason, some Year 9s through a school shirt and a bag full of clothes at me (why, I have no idea). They both missed. But, when I went to pick up the shirt, and throw it back, it brushed Andy's noodles, and they went everywhere. So I had to clean it up, while he went to get more noodles. The mood was killed after that, so I went group-hopping. I started at May Lyn, Justin and Patrick, and I ended up at Victor, Ebony and Ian, as well as Ebony's whole 'before group.'
Period 5 was Maths, which was just doing rote work. Not too simple, not too hard. After that was Drama, which was a very ridiculous period. We were supposed to (among other things) walk around the room with our eyes closed, trying not to bump into anything. When the class tried to explain to Kolodziej that it was retarded and basically impossible, he only said 'Use your spatial awareness!' From what he makes it out like, it seems like the Force. When the bell went, we went home, and around 6 (yes, I'm skipping a lot), I went to Shay's place.
At Shay's, for dinner, I had Thai food (mmm, Thai food...), and I also played on their Wii (I can bowl backwards. Cool!). I played some DS, as well as went a bit on my laptop. I also talked with Shay and Lachlan (as you do when you're over their house), and watched Shay play Sims. My brother got to their place around 10, and we left around half an hour later. And now I'm blogging, Saturday morning around 11.
To comments now, 5 from 2 people. I thought I was only going to get the first 3. Thanks for commenting, Victor!
*Ebony: Yes, you have nothing to say. And I have nothing to reply to.
*Ebony: Second, don't forget second!
*Ebony: Thank you. I think. And 42 is better than 3 (though 3 is pretty good).
*Victor: OK, OK, it is. I know.
*Victor: I had a check; it was actually Shafi. Proof. You may not say firstings. Only Shafi.
Well, that was my Friday. Sorry about the very late post, I'll try not to do it again. And please comment, everyone. I don't expect many, of course, but I haven't not got a comment since the 26th of March. Isn't that awesome?

Disco!
It doesn't need much more explanation than that. I'll get to all about the disco, my Friday and so on. And yes, it's a late post, I did tell everybody that it would be. But anyway. To my Friday.
I was dropped off at school by my Dad around 8:20, and then talked until the bell went. I also confused Ebony by incessantly quoting Abridged Shadi ('Jagshamesh' and so on.). First was Science, which was doing more work on parallel and series circuits. And Robson was back, which was good, because he's a cool teacher. Next was Computer Maths, which was doing stuff on Excel (they practically gave us the answers on the sheets they gave us), and me messing around on Geometer's Sketchpad, trying to make some sort of person on it (which is taking a while, but is coming along well). When that finished, it was Assembly, which was on the Pool Lawn and so wasn't the greatest. We tried to sing the school song, but since there was no good speakers, everybody was singing slightly out of sync. Then we had people talking about god knows what, and then Recess. At Recess I played 13 with John, Andy and Kevin. In that we established the two 'cursed cards,' which you don't want to get: the 2 and 3 of clubs. Don't ask why they're cursed, they just are. And I seemed to be stuck with at least one of them every time. Bloody hell.
Periods 3 and 4 were double Ag, which was going to go mouth the goats (see how old they are by counting their teeth). In that, I learnt a few things: I suck with goats (I couldn't catch one and was nearly tripped by one), and I cave too easily (the new name is 'Victor Gray.' Yeah, yeah, I caved completely to Ebony and Victor's pressure; I get it.). I talked to Ebony and Corinne mostly in the lesson. Lunch was more 13 (with me and Kevin owning), and an incredibly random, retarded and funny thing all in one. At one point, Toby threw a Vegemite packet at me (Why I don't know), so we decided we might have some fun. Around second half I sprinted past Ebony's table, and threw the packet at Victor. Also, I don't know why, but it was funny (to everybody I was playing 13 with anyway.). Yes, I'm weird. Tell me something I don't know.
Period 5 was English, which was doing revision work for the half-yearlies, which start on Monday. So weekends will be study-filled. I'm fairly confident, but I don't think anybody isn't at least slightly nervous. I sure am. Last was History, which was giving Johnson my Geo assessment (which she said was good, thank god), and Hewie and I testing each other on History from his study notes. I haven't actually made any, so I'm going to have to go through my books. But I'm fine with that. When the bell went, and after I'd got to the station, my Dad picked me up, so I could get dinner (incredibly early, I know. Disco, remember.). We went to McDonald's, and with my spacers on, I managed to eat 3 McStrips (I don't know what they're actually called, but they're the McDonald's version of Red Rooster's Chicken Strips), 4 nuggets, large chips, and a large strawberry thickshake (talking about that just made me hungry. Lol.). When we got home, we started rearranging some of the house, as for some reason we're getting new furniture (though, it does give me more room for my stuff). Then around 6:30, I left for Shay's place.
When I got there, I got pictures taken with the girls who were there (Shay, Chiara, Jessica), and then we were straight off again. When we arrived at the Whitlam Centre, we met up with Kyona, and then after saying goodbye to Jo, we went into the disco. For the first half an hour, before the music started, we sat and talked a bit, and played with balloons (it was that kind of boredom). When the music started, we got up and "danced" around a bit (I put that in apostrophes because it was more like moving left and right, and jumping up and down. Still better than my dancing.). We did that for about one and a half hours, and then things started to slow down a bit. So around 9:30, with an hour left, we sat around and talked again. There was a dancing competition around 10 (well, it was more like dance-and-get-a-CD; there was no winner), and I figured I have a nonzero chance of getting a CD, so I jumped around. I think the woman giving CDs out saw me, and gave me a CD out of pity. But I won it. When I went to sit down, I had a look at what songs were on it. The CD was 'Raisani' (have you heard of it? Neither have I), and it looked like something from the discount rack (I mean, there are just weird songs like "Afrocatalans by Danny Marqeuz & Ferry B." I mean, these are songs that are not so much forgotten as repressed.). When we were picked up around 10:30 by Jo, we had a listen to the songs: they all sound exactly the same. We were going from track to track and I didn't know when we had changed songs unless I looked at the display on the dashboard. When we got to Shay's place, after dropping Jess, Chiara, Kyona and Shay off, I went on the Wii, where I got 'Pro' in Wii Sports in bowling. Sweet. I got back home around midnight, and here I am, about 12 hours later, blogging on Saturday morning.
To comments, again, one from one person. But a different person. Hmm.
*Ebony: Oy vey; I'm doing it whatever way around I want. If that's in alphabetical order (Alphabetical. Alpha-beta. αβ. AB! You see, I am the awesomest.), or not, then who cares? And I suppose you can justify it, that's true.
Well, I'd better finish up, I have to really study now. Not really looking forward to Monday, I'll say that.
Hopefully Ebony and Victor can come to the disco next time,

I Live For Fridays
I love 'em. I don't understand how people can not like them; people need breaks. Although, this weekend may not be much of a break. Though it looks like this 3 page Geo essay will be fairly straightforward; they cover Pyrmont heavily in the textbook. Anyway. To my Friday.
Before school was utter randomness with everyone in our group, bar Matt who wasn't here and including Ebony. That was awesome. Period 1 was Maths, which somehow started on doing work and ended up changing into a discussion with Mango on such subjects as cosmic inflation, general relativity, and the tachyon, the theorised particle with imaginary mass. Somehow. I'm nerdy like that. Anyway. After that was Drama, which was getting into groups for an assignment we were set. I'm with Ebony, Amy, Pradeepti and Rutherford (I'm still getting used to the fact that his name isn't Ernest. ...nerd, remember?). I think we're going to go pretty well; Ebony summed it up with 'We're all Drama freaks.' Next was an Assembly of pointlessness, followed by 13. Period 3 was Commerce, which was a combined class in the computer labs since most people were at Cross-Country. So I went on Geometer's Sketchpad for the period, experimenting with tracing. I love that program. Period 4 was Science, which was 11 people playing poker, going on the blackboard, and doing nothing. In the end I was talking to Baxter (our sub) about string theory. Because I'm strange/awesome like that.
Lunch was 13, with the whole table up at one point or another, and 6 people playing 13: John, Andy, Kevin, Eric, Mango and me. I don't know how I can get a quad and triple but no pair, but there you go. My luck is strange like that. Period 5 was English, which was listening to more Macbeth (and the class laughing at Lady Macbeth's soliloquy in Act 1, Scene 5, Lines 38 to 54. Link. On an unrelated note, I still can't get used to the fact that in our class, Ebony doesn't play Lady Macbeth. Still traces of Tournament of Minds linger.). Last was History, which was doing some work, but mostly bludging. Thank god for Fridays. Skip to me at home, I cooked dinner (well, spaghetti, and with my Dad telling me what to do. Not hard.), and here I am, blogging.
1 comment. One comment. Where the hell is everybody? The answer is... I don't know. To replies.
*Ebony: Unspoken bonds. I'm really not sure what to say here. And Pyrmont is in the textbook, thank god, all of it. It's just a matter of weeding through the textbook jargon and sleep-inducing boredom. And here's something: they're friggin' inanimate objects. My bag does not need a name. If I don't name it, it won't do anything. It won't do anything anyway. Ignore my insanity.
I'll finish up right now. The weekend will be , in my prediction, some work, some book, and little relaxation. Ah well. I can't wait for the end of the half-yearlies.
Weekends are wonderful,

Fridays Are Freedom
It's true. It's all true. Fridays are freedom. On the holidays, a Friday is just another day, but in school times, they're freedom. TGIF! But, to my day.
Before school, we spent the time doing what we (Victor, Andy, Eric, me) have been doing since school started: imitate the characters from Warcraft III (humans and orcs, mostly. Victor can do the awesomest voices.). Period 1 was English, which was reading some of the plot of Macbeth (I would love the story if I could understand the words. It probably makes way more sense being acted out.) Next was something on the volume of pyramids. That was doing some work, but as usual, once you get the basics, the rest comes pretty simply. Assembly came next, and that was just one of those assemblies that were just there because that was what we do on Fridays. Not for any specific reason. We didn't even do the school song or anything. Recess was spent paying school fees, and playing 13. Ultimate hand (so far): John's quad 6. Bloody hell.
Period 3 was Drama, which was doing some acting, and doing a little of my book. I'll probably do a fair bit over the weekend. Next was Commerce, which weirdly had a lot of Drama elements. We were acting out a trial, and I was one of the prosecution in a scenario in which the guy was obviously guilty. Good work on a Friday. Lunch was clearing up some school stuff (they charged me for bowling, but I never did it. *sigh*), and doing 13 again. Two hands stick out: John's second quad 6 in a day, and my quad 2. Yeah. Kevin also got a quad Queen, which was weird. 4 quads in one day.
The last two periods were PE, which was AFL. The first period was some skills (and I realised how it is to be better than everyone else, for the sheer reason that I'm used to AFL.), and the last period was a game, with the boys and girls separated. Our team lost by two goals, and I think I did pretty well. I mean, most of the others (who am I kidding: all of the others) probably had more sports talent than I did, but I made up for it by knowing the ins and outs of the game. Although, I did once get smashed trying to take a mark by Ben. Ow. And here I am, on MSN, blogging and watching TV.
Comments: 3. Better than yesterday, but still far from the glory days. Well, to replies.
*Victor: I just don't like abstract. My brother once had to do an assignment on it, and in it they had to paint something in the style they chose and then say what it means. He chose abstract. For his painting, he painted random splotches, then made something up on the spot. He got 10/10 for that part.
*Mango: I did not know that part; I will have to remember it.
*Anon: I'm going to say this is Shafi, just for a sheer guess. If you want to learn 13, just come up to where we play, and we'll show you the rules, it's much easier to explain it that way.
I'll finish up. The next two days are going to be full of doing stuff, for want of a better word (so no day of relaxation and doing nothing). I'll keep you all posted (no pun intended).
Thank god for weekends,

Cards, Comments and Craziness
Yes, today was all about cards, comments and craziness. I will get to all of that as it comes. (I don't want to write an opening paragraph). And I apologise for the lateness; I'll explain that when I get to tonight.
Jo drove me to school, and when the bell went, I went to Science. We had another new teacher (where do they find these people), and I spent almost the entire period working. On a Friday! Next was computer Maths, where I got to bludge, sort of. I mean, it was work, but not stressful work. Play dressed up like work. Recess was 13, in which we did crazy things like flipping the entire deck so everybody could see the cards dealt (a bit like an uber-flip rule.). Assembly was cancelled, so we played for something like an hour. I didn't do that well. By the end, though, we had an audience of Corinne, Cameron, Ian, you name it. Next was Ag, which was more preg testing. Believe me, I would have done it, if I had had the stomach. But I don't, so I didn't. I can't say I regret not doing it, but it would have been an experience to do it. So the entire 2 periods (for it was a double) I spent doing work, listening to some of Pink Floyd (and wondering how long it takes for 'Shine On, You Crazy Diamond' to get to the vocals. About 7 and a half minutes, if you're wondering.), and playing 13 (yes, more 13) with Tan, Allan, Oishi and Nancy, with Hewie watching. Which was pretty good, though not as good as with the people from the group. Next was Lunch. I ran up to the English Cottage as soon as so I could get my Drama marks, but it's closed at first half. So at the table we played '8,' for some reason, which is the rules of 13 with 6 players (Andy, John, Victor, Kevin, Eric and me), so 8 cards a person. We also played some '2,' basically the same thing but with 2 cards, and even '1,' which went as you would have expected. Then in second half we actually played some 13. It was insane and awesome (note I didn't say 'but awesome.' Subtle difference.). I also went up to the English cottage again, but Kolodziej was in a meeting. Which seemed a bit suss. But, when the bell went, so did I, to the English cottage, to corner Kolodziej so he could give me my marks. Lana and Rachel were there too. I ended up getting 18/20, which is pretty good, if I do say so myself (and I do!). A load off from all the panic and stress. If I had only cut the performance down by about a minute (it was a minute under when I timed it). Anyway. In English we did essentially nothing except talk, and I read of course. Lastly for the week was History, which was answering questions, as usual. And when I got home, I commented on Victor's blog (numerous times), surfed the net, watched TV and went on Scratch. Right now I'm listening to Queen (as usual) and blogging, and going on MSN. As well as trying to solve a puzzle. I completed it, then EJ messed it up. Bugger. I got all distracted, that's why I'm posting late.
Now the comments, and there were only 3 yesterday (and that's with Victor getting 10 in 1 post. Although, I have 3 individual commenters. He comments on his own blog.). So I'll go into more detail with them, if I can.
*AC: First, that's amazing. You beat Victor (lol)! With that girl thing, I think I'm getting better at it. Slightly. I hope. But, slowly and surely. I do have good teachers, and Kearney isn't that bad, but he still annoys me with this constitution crap and the standing up. And with Toby, Javery and Matt Prior in one class, it is hard to control, for anyone. And to that Queen thing: I had an off day. My bad (lol). And please comment on every post. You are that awesome.
*Victor: Yes, you are second. Now you know how it feels! And don't give yourself a -1. -1s are for me and me only! On your blog, -1s are all I get, so dammit, I best collect them. My -1s!
*Ebony: Yes, panic and stress breed off worry over assessments. And you'll do great, yours was awesome. Victor commenting on his own blog is, I agree, cheating, and should be stopped. But, that's his prerogative (I learnt that word from Britney Spears, who used to be my favourite musician/s. But Queen has taken that title now.). And it's all true for that Science teacher, he was freaky. And thanks for the good luck, I'll need it.
Well, such was my Friday. The weekend beckons, and I need a few days to sit down. Oh wait, I can't because of my assessment. And homework. And possibly short story. Maybe the holidays. Hopefully I don't get much. Hopefully.
I want to relax for a day (but my hopes aren't high),
