Ice Ice AB

Yes, my titling is back! This bad pun comes from 'Ice Ice Baby,' the song by Vanilla Ice (I said that because I barely got that joke). I say it because I went ice-skating today. So, yeah. Ice-skating. You know what, whatever. You get the joke. And yes, it's a late post, it's not because of post-procrastination, and more of I didn't finish in time. Ah well.

I woke up at 7:30, and went out to watch some TV. I also started Sunday's post around 8:30. Keep in mind this 8:30 time, I'm proving how procrastination-prone (also, wow, procrastinatory is a word, or so the online dictionary tells me. I've been using this word for years, and I've been worried I sound like a retard. Now I just sound like a walking dictionary. Hooray!) I am. After breakfast and so forth was done, I played some DS, and watched EJ play Warcraft III. I forgot how awesome the voices were. I can also rival Victor; I can do the Undead Acolyte voice. Not perfectly of course, I'm still getting used to this bloody expander (that's my excuse. Seriously, I am still getting used to it, but that's not why I can't do voices as well as Victor. Ohh...), but pretty good. Then around 11, Shay's family, our family, and Shay's friend/cousin Heather all went to Liverpool Catholic Club for ice-skating. It didn't come out of the blue like that of course. Anyway.

For skate size (and I just have to mention this), I got a 13, which is the largest size they have. Seriously, it's also my Dad and Michael's size. My feet are huge. When we got on to the ice, there were varying degrees of success from EJ's 'clinging to the side for dear life' to Shay and Heather's 'let's skate!' The adults just watched. Lachlan and I were somewhere in the middle, with Lachlan more towards Shay's side, and me towards EJ's. After something like an hour though, I sorta got the hang of the skates, and worked out how to move across the ice without hanging on to the side. I needed a rhythm to get into while I skated, so my body and my mind wouldn't argue, if that makes sense. First I recited the periodic table, but when I got stuck too many times, and my mind started working too much, I gave that up. Then I tried to find a song with a beat I could sing to, and I found 'Pretty Fly (for a White Guy)' in my head fit my purpose. So I was able to make my way across the ice singing that, under my breath of course. Eventually I could do it without the song, and that's when the novelty wore off. It turned from 'hey, cool, I'm going across ice!' to 'I'm going across slippery frozen water on metal things with a severe risk of falling over! Hooray!' (that was sarcasm). So I went and sat down, to warm up. Then I went inside and grabbed a snack, and took my skates off. So Michael put them on, and had a go at skating. He was actually pretty good. Then Dad had a go, to prove to my brother that it was easy. Long story short; it wasn't. He didn't fall down, but he was still hilarious to watch. He apologised to my brother.

Around 2, I got home, and had some lunch. I then played some DS, and went to do my blog. After much procrastination on something I found called Conway's Game of Life (that was the Wikipedia link. Welcome back!), which is the nerdiest, most epic mathematics game you will ever see. I love it, others may not. I finished the post around 5:30, and then spent the rest of the night watching TV, reading, and blogging. I didn't get to finish Monday's post in time, so here I am on Tuesday morning, blogging.

To comments ahoy; one from one person.
*Karen: Reading too much? Preposterous! Thanks for the compliment, I often think I'm funny, but it's rare that others do. I would like 'Singstar Queen,' but I think my parents have had quite enough of me singing Queen as it is. I also started my English thing, though I've still got a bit to do. I like how it's going though.

Well, that was my Monday, which for a Monday was really good. It's going to be a big week this week, what with assignments and all. Hell, it's going to be a long month. Ah well.

Happy Birthday Elizabeth!,
AB

  1. Your brother is awesome. Yay for ice skating. Boo for titling. Yay for Ebony being bothered to comment.

I do actually have stuff to say... maybe I should comment more...

PS: I kick everyone's arse in singstar. No seriously, this is one of my three talents. Eating, sleeping, singstarring.
    PPS: Paragraph dammit.
